The central character of “Victoria Island” is a Nigerian-American woman who marries an oil tycoon and moves back to Lagos. In a city known for staging some of the most magnificent events in the world, she enlists the aid of her friends in her effort to launch an event planning business. Against the backdrop of Lagos, a city with a rich tapestry of life, the plot promises a delicious blend of drama and humour.

However, the production of “Victoria Island” will be handled by Cocoa Content, which is Taiye Selasi’s production firm. She is working with a talented group that includes Tshepiso Chikapa Phiri, CEO of Known Associates Entertainment, and Nicholas Weinstock, acclaimed executive producer of “Severance” and “Escape At Dannemora”, Fremantle, a renowned studio behind “American Gods”.
