I Find Posting Critical Comments about Buhari Offensive and Irritating – Adewale Ajadi

There are many reasons that I find posting critical comments about Buhari offensive and in fact irritating. It is not because he has no faults. All my life I have been blessed to be born to parents who were Nigerians and never indulged in tribalism. My late father’s fatal prejudice against the Ijebu never really stood up to his friendship with Chief Taiye Oworu.

Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari

I am fifty with humility before my God, and I am Nigerian. Affirmed in my belief that for the first time in my life I have a Government that has created a space to fight for my grandchildren’s future. To leave a legacy by what I do, not who I know. I see the government’s own flaws, but here it is the inch, the round and space to stand for posterity. So I will fight you and all who will waste this opportunity posturing, lying and bluffing. You have no truth, none of you. It is not the government that will make us.

This war is my life. Nigeria only and Buhari, for now, is not fair; he is not perfect; and his own team are full of rubbish too. I am a soldier, simple. I will strike you off and dismiss you. No quarter and no inch because I fight for my children’s children. A place where they will not be black or even white and they can see even if I fail I to take a stance. It is one round at a time, I tell you as a boxer. This round we move from ascription, from people who are somebody only because they know anybody. It will be output of your choice, quality of your contribution and possibly content of your character. It is now at least and worse we fight this fight and you stop pretending friends for my posterity. Now! For God, for love, for Victory!
