Chike, the Nigerian singer, has gotten the attention of millions of listeners with his captivating R&B music, “Egwu,” which skillfully blends Igbo indigenous melodies with Afrobeat influences.
His latest achievement includes securing his first chart-topping single on TurnTable Top 100, Nigeria’s sole aggregate chart that combines radio and TV airplay with streaming data from Apple Music, Spotify, Audiomack, and Boomplay.
Chike accomplished this milestone with his chart-topping single “Egwu,” featuring the late street pop sensation Mohbad. Released in December 2023, the song has gained widespread commercial success, particularly on social media, where it has been featured in over 400,000 TikTok videos.
