Mercy Aigbe-Adeoti‘s romantic comedy, “Ada Omo Daddy,” is set to premiere in the United Kingdom on February 9, 2024. The movie will be shown in five Odeon Cinemas locations, including Manchester, Birmingham, Streatham, Surrey Quays, and Greenwich.

Distributed by the Independent Film Exhibition Consultancy (IFEC), responsible for other films like “Malaika” and “A Tribe Called Judah” in the UK, “Ada Omo Daddy” features Omowunmi Dada in the lead role. She portrays Ada, engaged to her lover, played by Tayo Faniran, and the cross-cultural love story faces challenges from various quarters.

Directed by Akay Mason Ilozobhie and Adebayo Tijani, the film sheds light on various social issues and has an all-star cast, including Tomi Ojo, Charles Okafor, Chiwetalu Agu, Dele Odule, Taiwo Adeyemi, Fred Amata, Carol King, Mariam Peters, Phyna, Adeniyi Johnson, Nkechi Blessing, Wunmitoriola, Chief Kanran, Adediwura Gold, Fausat Balogun, and Jumoke Odutola. Fuji artist Chief Wale Ayuba makes a special appearance in the wedding party scene.

Released nationwide on December 15, 2023, “Ada Omo Daddy” has achieved a gross total of ₦215,605,172, according to the latest report from the Cinemas Exhibitors Association of Nigeria. Currently, “Ada Omo Daddy,” “Malaika,” and “A Tribe Called Judah” continue to be screened in Nigerian cinemas nationwide.
