3 Money Problems Only Single Nigerian Women Can Relate To

Published

on

If you are a single Nigerian women, you have a number of issues you can relate to. On one hand you’ve got your mother and aunties reminding you to get married, and on the other you have to deal with men who think they have an automatic license to disrespect you just because you’re a woman and you are single.

This involves a lot of sighing, eye-rolling, and counting from one to ten to calm oneself. Anyways, it’s funny how we all agree that money is important, but people seem to think that single Nigerian women do not need money.

Honestly, we need someone to explain to us, because we are not understanding. That’s why we know that all single Nigerian women will relate to these money problems:

When they ask what you’re doing with your salary

You know those people. The ones that ask what you use all of your money for when you don’t have a husband or any children.

When people don’t believe you’re broke

It’s super annoying when you tell people that you’re broke and they say “how can a fine girl like you be broke?” We’re still waiting to hear from the bank that hands out a few extra thousand Naira to good looking women.

Some people believe men are the breadwinners in the home, so they should earn more…….Rubbish!

The outfit is a crisp royal blue shirt tucked into a pair of beltless teal blue pants. The sharp contrast between the blues creates a bold statement, while the relaxed fit of the pants gives off a more casual vibe.

To complete the look, brown shoes ground the outfit. The specific type of shoe can be chosen based on the desired level of formality, ranging from dress shoes for a polished look to sneakers for a laid-back weekend style.

Tuesday

This outfit creates a sleek and sophisticated look entirely in black. The foundation consists of a classic button-down shirt, adding a touch of professionalism. To complete the dark and monochromatic look, black pants are incorporated, creating a streamlined silhouette.

However, the all-black ensemble doesn’t shy away from accessories. A necklace adds a touch of sparkle and personality, while bracelets provide further adornment to the wrists.

Finally, a wristwatch completes the look, offering both functionality and a polished touch. This combination of classic elements and statement accessories creates a stylish and put-together outfit that’s perfect for various occasions.

Wednesday

This outfit embraces a chic and monochromatic look. A cosy sweater in a single; for a timeless and versatile choice, navy blue is a great option, but any other solid colour would work too. The sweater is paired with navy blue pants, creating a streamlined silhouette from head to toe.

To add a touch of personality and warmth, a white beanie is incorporated. This creates a playful contrast with dark tones and a cosy vibe.

Finally, the outfit is finished with a white footwear choice, like sneakers or boots, depending on the desired level of formality. A white wristwatch complements the other white elements and adds a polished touch.

Overall, this look is both comfortable and stylish, perfect for a casual day out.

A black tee keeps things casual and versatile. It can be a crewneck, v-neck, or even a graphic tee depending on your personal style.

Black straight-leg pants offer a clean and polished silhouette. They’re a step up from joggers but not as formal as skinny jeans. Alternatively, loose jeans can work too, but choose a darker wash for a more streamlined look.

A wristwatch to get a touch of sophistication and functionality.

Suiting shoes offer a surprising twist. They elevate the outfit beyond just casual and add a touch of unexpected polish. Think loafers, derbys, or even Chelsea boots in black leather.

Overall, this outfit is a great choice for a casual date night, running errands in style, or even a dressed-down office look.

Friday

Fridays call for a relaxed approach to workwear, allowing you to move freely and tackle those last-minute tasks. A classic tracksuit provides ultimate comfort and ease of movement. Choose a breathable material like cotton or a cotton blend for ultimate comfort.

For a more layered look, pair a cosy hoodie with your favourite dark-wash jeans. This combination offers warmth and flexibility, making it perfect for a busy day.

No casual Friday outfit is complete without a comfortable pair of sneakers. Choose a style that offers good support, especially if you’ll be on your feet a lot.

Even though it’s casual Friday, maintain a polished look. Opt for clean, well-maintained clothes and avoid anything overly baggy or revealing.

Saturday

Saturday is the perfect day to unwind and embrace a relaxed look. A loose-fitting two-piece outfit, like a sleeveless top and matching trousers, is a great choice for comfort and style.

The loose fit allows for freedom of movement, whether you’re running errands, brunching with friends, or simply lounging at home. Plus, the matching element of the outfit adds a touch of effortless style, ensuring you look put-together without any extra effort.

To complete the laid-back vibe, pair the two-piece with a comfortable pair of matching sandals. You can choose flat sandals for a breezy feel or opt for sandals with a slight wedge heel for a touch of added height and sophistication.

Sunday

For a relaxed Sunday evening outing, why not embrace a touch of African flair? This outfit combines an African native top and trousers, giving it a stylish look. The loose fit of the top and trousers ensures comfort, making it perfect for a Sunday service, a casual evening spent strolling or catching up with friends.

To add a pop of colour and personality, consider a pair of “poppin'” slip-ons. This could mean bright, patterned sandals, or embellished flats that complement the colours or patterns in your top and trousers.

Finally, a purse completes the outfit, allowing you to carry your essentials in style. Choose a purse that complements the overall colour scheme or one that adds a contrasting pop, depending on your preference.

What Your Handshake Says About Your Health

What Your Handshake Says About Your Health | Fab.ng

A humble handshake seems like such a simple gesture, a routine part of introductions and greetings. But beneath that brief exchange of palms can lie a surprising wealth of information. While it certainly serves as a social formality, a handshake can also be a silent conversation, conveying details about a person that might otherwise go unnoticed.

The strength of a handshake, for instance, can be a subtle indicator of overall health and well-being. A firm grip might suggest good muscle tone and fitness, while a weak handshake could hint at underlying medical conditions like arthritis or neurological issues.

The duration of a handshake can also be telling. A brief brush of the palms might signal someone impatient or uncomfortable with physical contact, whereas a lingering handshake could indicate someone eager to connect or perhaps even domineering.

Even the feel of someone’s hand can be informative. A sweaty palm might suggest nervousness or anxiety, while dry hands could be a sign of dehydration or certain medications.

Of course, it’s important to remember that these are subtle clues. A weak handshake could simply be due to someone having a bad day, and a sweaty palm might be a result of a warm room. The key is to be aware of these nonverbal cues and to use them alongside other social cues to get a more well-rounded impression of the person you’re meeting.
