Bidemi Olaoba, a popular gospel singer who recently held a concert called “In His Presence” at the University of Lagos, is also a worship and praise minister. He caused a stir on social media recently during a live TV show. He said that he would never perform at a church that follows the white garment tradition.

The reason he gave for refusing to perform at these churches was their use of candles, perfumes, and other spiritual materials during their services and prayers. These practices seem to be against his beliefs.

However, Bidemi realised that his comments might have caused offence and issued an apology. He emphasised his belief that the message of Christianity is for everyone, regardless of denomination. He expressed regret for any misunderstandings his earlier remarks might have caused.
