Multitasking is not about “piling on the work” to the point of exhaustion. It’s about training the brain to channel energy in an efficient and effective manner so you can accomplish more in less time.

Here are 5 multitasking tips to help boost productivity;

Practice how to multitask
Practice is essential to mastering the skill of multitasking this is because practice makes something seem routine, and when something is routine, it’s no longer stressful. As you master doing multiple routine things, move on to slightly more difficult tasks. Gradually work up to the number of tasks you normally do.
So if you want to do all the things you do each day in a more efficient manner with less stress, take a step back and teach your body and mind how to work up to the productivity level you desire.

Plan ahead

Once you become more confident in your ability to multitask, start planning your day ahead. This understanding will help you to switch assignments, offering the information you need to become better organized.

Take productive breaks

As important as the time you spend being productive, are the minutes you save to rest. Taking breaks is a proven way to restart your mind so you can get back to work refreshed. In order to increase your productivity, take a little time-out. Taking a real, mental break will give you the relaxation you actually need and leave you with a more productive mindset when you’re ready to get back to work.

Set priorities with multitasking

Switching brain channels repeatedly actually reduces your memory recall. When you’re performing multiple tasks that require your undivided attention, your brain gets overloaded, as it can only process information from one channel at a time. Therefore, do not multitask if the assignment requires your full attention. Once that urgent or detailed task is complete, then you can go back to doing the other tasks you normally do. This step will save you lots of rework, as you’re more prone to make mistakes when your brain is overloaded.

Learn to concentrate

Concentration is fundamental to multitasking. Productive people focus entirely on what they are doing in each given moment, and then switch tasks.

Funke Akindele recounts how D’banj encouraged her | Fab.ng

Nollywood actress and director Funke Akindele recently spoke about how singer D’banj helped her continue her successful Jenifa character. At a celebration for D’banj’s 20th anniversary in entertainment, Akindele revealed how D’banj motivated her to keep the Jenifa brand going.

They met at a club, and D’banj, a big fan of Jenifa, asked if there would be more movies.

Akindele was surprised because she hadn’t planned on making more. D’banj saw the potential in Jenifa and convinced Akindele it could be very profitable. To show his support, D’banj even gave her money to make new Jenifa movies. This led to the creation of “The Return of Jenifa,” a big hit that brought the character back to life.

She said,

“After the big break with Jenifa, everybody loved Jenifa so much, I was out there and everyone was celebrating me so much. I was invited to a club where I met Dbanj for the first time and he gave me his number and inquired if there is a sequence to Jenifa, I told him No and he questioned why as he noted how Jenifa is a brand I can feast on for the rest of my life.

“He told me that when I have a brand, you feed on the brand, you milk the brand very well and make money out of it. Out of his pocket, he gave me money and said I should go write another Jenifa and he supports me with the money.”

Akindele didn’t just thank D’banj; she showered him with praise! She called him more than just a musician – he’s a whole movement! She explained how his music has made countless people happy and said his influence will definitely last a long time.

“Dbanj you’re more than just a musician, you’re a movement! Your music has brought joy to our hearts, and your legacy will live on forever,” Akindele affirmed.

Hanks Anuku Says Viral Video That Falsely Painted Him Unwell Made Him Lose Jobs

In a recent interview, popular Nollywood actor Hanks Anuku addressed the confusing videos of him from last year. The videos showed him on the street, talking to himself and looking dishevelled. People online worried that Anuku might be mentally ill.

But Anuku cleared things up and explained to interviewer Lucky Udu that he was actually preparing for an acting role. He was pretending to be a character who wasn’t well mentally, so he could act the part more realistically.

He began, “That day I was trying to get into character for a role I was going to play, a madman role. Someone who was not in his correct senses or right frame of mind.”

“So naturally I did it in the neighbourhood and I was trying to get it to show the way the director would have shown it. I was meditating and trying to get into character, that’s it. I was not even aware that I was being recorded. I was concentrating on myself and my script,” he continued.

Hanks Anuku took the interview as an opportunity to dispel rumors about his mental health and drug use.

He firmly denied ever using drugs and assured the interviewer that he’s in excellent health. The strange behavior in the videos was all part of his dedication to acting, not a reflection of his own well-being.

“People have said a lot of stuff. Rumours are rumours. They said I was sick and I was on drugs. I was not on drugs. Maybe they saw me depressed cause depression can cause stress. But me, being on drugs? That’s not true. I’m not a madman. I’m very sane and healthy. I exercise a lot and do my martial arts and sports,” he explained.

Further admitting that the viral videos and rumors had a big negative impact on his life, he explained how he lost a lot of money due to the situation. Film projects stopped hiring him, leaving him jobless for a period of time. On top of the financial strain, Anuku shared the emotional toll it took on him. He felt hurt and discouraged by the way people reacted to the misunderstanding.

He said, “I lost a lot of money. I lost jobs and was jobless for a while and people didn’t care about me. I went through pain and I was heartbroken.”

In a recent interview, Nigerian actress Yvonne Jegede talked about her past marriage. She said she wished she had considered financial security more before getting married.

Jegede was married to actor Olakunle Fawole, but their marriage ended. In the interview, she said things changed after they got married. Her husband started finding fault with how she talked to him. He also made a big deal about their age difference, even though it wasn’t a problem before.

She said,

“He is eight years older than me. But the moment we got married, if I tell am say, ‘You dey crase,’ he would say I’m disrespecting him. I would then be like, ‘It’s the same me, same thing I’ve been saying for over 10 years.'”

Jegede went on to explain that financial issues played a significant role in her decision to end the marriage. She felt she was carrying more of the financial burden than her husband.

“Let me just state the fact, I was bringing more of the money. Now I’m taking care of my son like nobody exists around me and it’s not easy, it’s not funny. I should have gone for money instead of love. Let me be very honest…”

Jegede’s comments about her marriage sparked discussions online, particularly about finances in marriage. Many social media users expressed their opinions. One person on Instagram even posted a message hoping for partners who take financial responsibility in relationships.

“As a guy, nor let money finish for your hand sha😢😢. Try ur best🙏,” said another user.

Another Instagram user said, “Anything a woman does for a man is never forgotten, but she might not always recall the times when the man supported her. Some women have selective memories, and it’s like they have two sides to them.”
