Nigerian superstar Davido took a major step on his musical journey on February 5, 2024, attending the prestigious 66th Grammy Awards held in Los Angeles.

One particularly insightful moment came when asked if he ever envisioned himself at the Grammys back when he first started out as a young artist in Nigeria.
He revealed that the Grammys weren’t even on his radar back then, highlighting his humble beginnings and the unexpected turn of his remarkable success. According to him, “It can only be God.”
“I just wanted to hear my song on the radio. For it to transcend into these, it can only be God. But just being nominated and recognized alone makes me proud of myself,” Davido says.
Among his biggest supporters was his father, whom Davido proudly described as his “biggest fan.” In the chat with the magazine, Davido mentioned that his father told him, “Son, no matter what happens, you’re still a legend.”
