Despite slipping to second place, “A Tribe Called Judah” still impresses with over 1.3 billion Naira in total earnings. In its debut week, “The Beekeeper” gathered nearly 50 million Naira, drawing the attention of Nigerian moviegoers.

In the midst of this, a fresh Nollywood film called “Meeting Funmi’s Parents” has surfaced, claiming third place with earnings exceeding 14 million Naira. This romantic comedy tells the story of Funmi, who brings her fiancé from the US to meet her traditional father, only to encounter disapproval.

Further down the list, previously popular films like “Malaika” and “Ada Omo Daddy” have experienced a significant drop in viewership, with their weekly earnings declining by over 60%. While “Malaika” manages to hold onto a spot in the top six, “Ada Omo Daddy” slides closer to the bottom.
Even though “A Tribe Called Judah” lost its title, the Nigerian box office remains actively strong, offering a wide range of films that captivate audiences both locally and internationally.
