YouTube Music and Premium Hit 100 Million Subscribers | Fab.ng

YouTube announced a big achievement in its digital streaming service. YouTube Music and Premium now have over 100 million subscribers worldwide, including trial users. This shows that people all over the world enjoy using YouTube for entertainment, including many people in Nigeria.

YouTube Music was made for people who love music and YouTube. It lets them enjoy YouTube without ads, play music in the background, and download songs. It has the biggest collection of music in the world.

YouTube has expanded its services and changed its name. Now, people in over 100 countries can use YouTube Music and Premium.

In the last year, YouTube made Premium better. Now, you can watch YouTube on different devices, like smart TVs and tablets. They also improved the video quality to 1080p HD. Along the way, we learned a lot, made a few pivots (and even rebranded), expanded our offerings and plans, and made YouTube Music and Premium available in over 100 countries and regions.

And through it all, we’ve remained focused on delivering a best-in-class experience to our global YouTube community.

In fact, in the past year alone we enhanced the Premium playback experience including adding the ability to continue watching YouTube across different devices like your smart TVs and tablets and introduced an enhanced version of 1080p HD. We also experimented with new generative AI features that Premium users were among the first to try. And for listeners, we introduced the Samples tab, a lightning-fast way to discover new music, a completely customised radio building experience, and brought podcasts to YouTube Music.

Beyond features, we know what truly makes viewers and listeners keep choosing YouTube – it’s the incredible content from our creators and artists. YouTube Premium helps maintain a thriving creator and artist community, providing them with an additional source of revenue from subscriptions.”

Addy Awofisayo, who is in charge of music for Africa at YouTube, also talked about how YouTube is important in Nigeria, saying,

KCee has a new album called “Mr. Versatile“. This name shows that KCee is good at doing many different types of music. He can change with the music industry, which is always changing.

KCee is a Nigerian singer who has been making music for 20 years. He has become very famous in Nigeria because he keeps changing his style and making popular songs.

Many other singers worked with KCee on this album. These singers come from different countries. Didi B is from France. Kanika Kapoor is from India. Oxlade, Skibii, Teni, OdumoduBlvck, and Ijaya are all from Nigeria like KCee. Diamond Platnumz is from Tanzania. OneRepublic is a group from the United States.

KCee started singing 25 years ago. He first sang in a church choir.

That’s where he met Presh, who used to be in a band with him. Their first album was gospel music. Later, they changed to rap and Afropop music.

KCee’s father was a pastor and a DJ. He also owned stores that sold music. This probably helped KCee become interested in music.

The “Mr. Versatile” album is about going back to where you came from. It’s about being proud of your culture. It’s also about growing and changing as a person and as a musician.

The album has different types of music in it. There’s highlife, dancehall, and Afropop. KCee hopes this music will make people happy, especially people who grew up watching old Nigerian movies.
