Marcus Rashford grew up in the famous Fletcher Moss Junior Football Club, a club that has produced other players like Welbeck, Wes Brown, Ravel Morrison and Cameron Borthwick-Jackson.

At the age of two, Rashford started playing football with his brother in the house, in the garden or in the garage.

‘I could remember my Dad insisting he takes me to join a youth club to play with boys instead of having me around kicking balls on our garage’s roof’ says Marcus.

Rashford was later encouraged to join local Fletcher Moss boys club by his dad, Robert who was a coach there. His skills impressed Man United scouts; thus forcing them to sign him at the age of 8.

His role model is Cristiano Ronaldo

Rashford is a huge fan of Cristiano Ronaldo. In one of his interviews with lifebloggers, he said ‘‘It happened with Ronaldo when he came to United. He defined himself as a man who could do all tricks. His stopovers, tricks and of course goals got him all the attention. I learned from him and I changed my thinking on field’’
He nearly signed for Jay Z’ agency
