The beautiful, talented fashion designer, Toluwaloju Olowofoyeku is the founder and creative director of women’s wear brand Toju Foyeh.

She started her professional life as a Lawyer, studying Law at the University of Reading and obtaining an LLM at the University of Manchester, both in United Kingdom.

She later returned to Nigeria in 2012 to attend law school where she became qualified to practice law in Nigeria.

So why did she not continue to pursue her Law Career yo may ask…..She decided to follow her passion.

Lesson 1: Know what you are passionate about and go for it.

Toju fell in love with fashion from a very young age. That passion haunted her for a while until she decided to do something about it.

Lesson 2: Don’t stop learning

After her post graduate law degree in the UK, she decided to attend fashion school in Milan, Italy.

Toju keeps learning from time to time….. attending many local and international fashion shows and master classes just to get better at what she does.

Over the years She has become the celebrity designer to many Nigerians- Tiwa Savage,Omawumi, Waje, Andrea Manuela Giaccaglia, Toke Makinwa, Osas Ajibade, Chidinma Ekile, Jennifer Olize, Adama Indimi and many more are part of her long list of A-list celebrity clients.

Lesson 3: Stay relevant always

Toju Foyeh is hands down one of the trendiest and hottest fashion designers in the Nigerian/African fashion scene. Her pieces are usually creative, bold, ambitious and dramatic.

She targets women of style and class with jet setting lifestyle who want to be perceived as sophisticated, elegant and glamorous all at the same time. The brand offers bespoke service as well as ready to wear diffusion line.

Falz says he wasn't pressured to become a lawyer | fab.ng

Nigerian rapper Falz has clarified that he was not pressured to study law due to his father’s success in the field.

Falz revealed in an interview with Chude Jideonwo on the “With Chude” podcast that his father, Femi Falana SAN, helped and fought for people who inspired him. This experience motivated him to pursue a legal career, contrary to popular belief.

He said,

“I won’t say it was pressure but when I was super young, it was like, ‘These people have to be something’ because I was already getting that reaction everywhere I went. And if I ever mentioned my name, people would be like, ‘Which Falana? Is it Femi Falana? Oh wow.'”

“Everyone sort of had a story about how my dad came to their aid at some point in time and how he fought for them and was there for them. At that time it was me taking everything in, like, ‘this is something’. So at that point in time, I wasn’t pressured; I aspired to emulate what he was doing,” he added.

This recognition made a deep impact on him, and he decided on his own to study law. Although he pursued a legal education, he practiced law only for a short period.

His decision to enter the field came from personal motivation. Despite his brief time practicing, the experience left its mark. Indeed, it shaped his perspective and contributing to his overall journey.

“I did practice law for a short period of time. Very short, almost two years. I worked at the Ministry of Justice during my youth service, which was like 2012 or so, then in 2013 I was at my father’s firm and 2014 was when things started to pick up for me so I started going out of practice,” he added in between laughter.

Sheye Oladejo shared her inspiration for the Èjìré collection:

“The Èjìré collection is a tribute to the strength and resilience of African women. By fusing Aso-Oke and Adire, I wanted to create pieces that honor our heritage while allowing today’s woman to express herself boldly in a modern world.”

Oladejo demonstrates her unwavering commitment to craftsmanship through her meticulous work. Notably, she partnered with local artisans to create the Èjìré collection. This is where each artisan applied their generations-old expertise and precise attention to detail to craft every piece.

Through this collaboration, Oladejo successfully merged traditional craftsmanship with contemporary design elements.

Bobrisky Breaks Silence on Falz Defamation Claims | fab.ng

Following a 24-hour ultimatum to retract defamatory statements made against Nigerian singer Falz and his father in a viral voice note, crossdresser Bobrisky has issued a statement.

In an Instagram post on October 16, 2023, Bobrisky denied making any defamatory remarks about Falz or his father. He emphasized that he is awaiting an official response from his legal counsel before providing further details on the matter.

This statement comes in response to the serious allegations made against Bobrisky, which have sparked widespread public attention and concern.

He wrote,

“TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN: In reply to the two letters in circulation from the Law Firm of the Falanas. I like to state for the records and pending the official reply from my counsel, state for the avoidance of doubt that I, Okuneye Idris Olanrewaju, aka Bobrisky, did not publish any defamatory statement or statements concerning the learnt SAN and his Son Falz.”

Bobrisky demands accountability from the publisher of defamatory statements against Falz and his father.

“It is in the public domain pursuant to my solicitor’s letter dated the 27th day of September 2024 that I have denied any knowledge of what VDM published. I stand by my express denial and put the matter to strict proof and advise that whoever has been defamed should hold the publisher of the defamatory content and my fundamental rights to privacy of my communications should be respected and protected.”

In another story post, Bobrisky emphasized that the responsibility lay with Verydarkman, not him.

“I OKUNEYE idris aka BOBRISKY didn’t give Falz or his dad any money for pardon. As a matter of fact no penny was given to them. Have said dis before and i will say it again. The person that published an Audio online should take fully responsible for what he posted in public. My lawyer will respond to any further information d public want to about dis ongoing issue trending on social media,” he wrote.

The controversy erupted when media personality Verydarkman released an alleged voice note from Bobrisky that quickly spread across the internet.

In this explosive recording, Bobrisky openly admitted that he had evaded prison time despite receiving a sentence for money laundering. Furthermore, the crossdresser boldly claimed that he had paid both Falz and his father to secure a pardon.

Subsequently, after the damaging voice note became public, Falz and his father’s law chambers took immediate action by issuing a stern 24-hour ultimatum to Verydarkman, demanding that he retract his statement.

However, Verydarkman remained defiant and refused to comply with their demands. As a result of his non-compliance, the legal battle intensified, leading to the court’s decisive action.

Finally, the court ruled against Verydarkman. They imposed a substantial fine of ₦500 million. Additionally, they ordered him to remove all defamatory posts related to the matter.
