BBN: Akwa Ibom Speaker declares support for disgraced Kemen

Mr Onofiok Luke, Speaker Akwa Ibom State Assembly on Monday declared his support for Kemen (Ekemini Ekerette ) the disgraced #BBNaija housemate.

Kemen, an indigene of the state was disqualified from the Big Brother Naija (#BBNaija) house for sexual misconduct after he fondled Tboss, one of the housemates without her consent. He performed the act after the other housemates had gone to sleep on Saturday night.

Luke who took to his official Facebook to expressed his support for Kemen despite deferring public opinion said, “ We are all humans and are all prone to mistakes. He said that he was surprised at the quick turnaround of fans of Kemen, who is from the state despite the initial support he received. He consoled the former housemate and advised him to take solace in the story of Jesus.

“I have never really watched the Big Brother Nigeria, I only follow it activities on the social media. “ Up until this evening Kemen our son was celebrated online by fans and followers of BBN from our very Akwa Ibom but suddenly, a breaking news of his disqualification from the house and the whole narrative changed and the social media is now saturated with different stories and versions about Kemen and his disqualification.

“Many who before now had celebrated Kemen are in a hurry to crucify him for his mistake(s). My take here is not to hold brief for Kemen.

Bobrisky Breaks Silence on Falz Defamation Claims | fab.ng

Following a 24-hour ultimatum to retract defamatory statements made against Nigerian singer Falz and his father in a viral voice note, crossdresser Bobrisky has issued a statement.

In an Instagram post on October 16, 2023, Bobrisky denied making any defamatory remarks about Falz or his father. He emphasized that he is awaiting an official response from his legal counsel before providing further details on the matter.

This statement comes in response to the serious allegations made against Bobrisky, which have sparked widespread public attention and concern.

He wrote,

“TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN: In reply to the two letters in circulation from the Law Firm of the Falanas. I like to state for the records and pending the official reply from my counsel, state for the avoidance of doubt that I, Okuneye Idris Olanrewaju, aka Bobrisky, did not publish any defamatory statement or statements concerning the learnt SAN and his Son Falz.”

Bobrisky demands accountability from the publisher of defamatory statements against Falz and his father.

“It is in the public domain pursuant to my solicitor’s letter dated the 27th day of September 2024 that I have denied any knowledge of what VDM published. I stand by my express denial and put the matter to strict proof and advise that whoever has been defamed should hold the publisher of the defamatory content and my fundamental rights to privacy of my communications should be respected and protected.”

In another story post, Bobrisky emphasized that the responsibility lay with Verydarkman, not him.

“I OKUNEYE idris aka BOBRISKY didn’t give Falz or his dad any money for pardon. As a matter of fact no penny was given to them. Have said dis before and i will say it again. The person that published an Audio online should take fully responsible for what he posted in public. My lawyer will respond to any further information d public want to about dis ongoing issue trending on social media,” he wrote.

The controversy erupted when media personality Verydarkman released an alleged voice note from Bobrisky that quickly spread across the internet.

In this explosive recording, Bobrisky openly admitted that he had evaded prison time despite receiving a sentence for money laundering. Furthermore, the crossdresser boldly claimed that he had paid both Falz and his father to secure a pardon.

Subsequently, after the damaging voice note became public, Falz and his father’s law chambers took immediate action by issuing a stern 24-hour ultimatum to Verydarkman, demanding that he retract his statement.

However, Verydarkman remained defiant and refused to comply with their demands. As a result of his non-compliance, the legal battle intensified, leading to the court’s decisive action.

Finally, the court ruled against Verydarkman. They imposed a substantial fine of ₦500 million. Additionally, they ordered him to remove all defamatory posts related to the matter.

The flier contained details about his “True Salvation Ministry”. He invited his fans to attend the online services. This move surprised many of his followers, who knew him primarily as an actor.
