This achievement further distinguishes him from his fellow Canadian musicians, Justin Bieber and Drake, who each have 15 songs with over 1 billion streams. The Weeknd’s music has amassed billions of streams and sold millions of concert tickets worldwide.

In addition to this latest feat, The Weeknd has other Spotify records under his belt. He was the first artist to reach 100 million monthly listeners, and his hit single “Blinding Lights” holds the record for the most-streamed song on the platform with over 4.6 billion streams.

Davido revealed the title of his highly anticipated fifth album. On December 5, 2024, Davido announced on his social media platforms that the album would be called 5ive.

In preparation for the album’s release, Davido shared exciting news about a new single titled Funds. The track, featuring Chike and OdumoduBlvck, dropped on November 6, 2024, adding to the growing excitement among fans.

Posting on Instagram, the four-time Grammy nominee described his upcoming album as deeply personal.

He emphasised that the project, set to be released on March 14, 2025, will showcase his journey. Also, it will reveal his truth and highlight his growth as an artist and individual.
