Joeboy Honours Music Legend In New Song “Osadebe”

"Osadebe": Joeboy Honours Music Legend In New Song |

Since leaving his previous label and starting his own (“Young Legend”), Joeboy has released his first song under the new banner, “Osadebe.” It’s a smooth and introspective track that encourages positive thinking, all brought to life by producer K-Dreamz.

The song nods to the classic hit “Osondi Owendi” by the late Chief Osita Osadebe, a track that broke language and geographical barriers to become a beloved tune in Nigeria. Joeboy even sings, “I no dey cross my lane, I’m living like Osadebe, Osondi Owendi (meaning one man’s treasure is another man’s trash),” showing his commitment to staying true to himself and his path.

This desire for artistic control is what motivated Joeboy to create Young Legend and partner with Warner Music. He wants to build a future that reflects his vision and allows him to create music on his own terms.

“The fact is, you can do things on your own terms and stay in your lane and achieve the same, if not better, results than other people living loudly. I am my biggest competition, and I really don’t care what others are doing. The only person that I’m focused on is me,” Joeboy said about his new song.

Despite facing criticism for keeping a low profile and shying away from the spotlight, Joeboy stays true to his preference for private life in his new song, “Osadebe.” He subtly reiterates his desire to let his music and accomplishments speak for themselves rather than seeking constant media attention and living a flashy superstar lifestyle.

Ever since his breakthrough in 2019 with the hit single “Baby,” Joeboy has established himself as a major force in Nigerian music. With two albums, two EPs, and several chart-topping songs under his belt, “Osadebe” marks the exciting beginning of what is anticipated to be another incredible year for the talented artist. He’s proving that success and artistic expression can thrive even without living a life constantly under the public eye.

“This album is really special to me. I feel like most people don’t really know who I am. They just have an idea,” Young Jonn said. “But this project uncovers the real me. Burna Boy Drops Two Remixes For “Tested, Approved & Trusted”

"Tested Approved & Trusted" Gets 2 New Remixes |

Nigerian superstar Burna Boy is kicking off 2024 with a bang. He dropped two remixes of his hit song “Tested Approved & Trusted.” This marks his first official release of the year, following his recent win at the iHeart Radio Awards.

The original version of “Tested Approved & Trusted” was a fan favourite on Burna Boy’s Grammy-nominated album “I Told Them.” The album was released in August 2023. Now, he’s giving fans a whole new way to experience the song with these fresh remixes.

The first remix features the smooth dancehall vibes of Jamaican artist Prince Swanny. This added a new layer of energy to the track. The second remix takes things in a completely different direction with an Amapiano refix by the renowned South African DJ duo Major League. This is a rare treat for Burna Boy fans, as he’s not known for revisiting his songs very often.

Fans may be a little bummed that Burna Boy’s April Fool’s Day prank about a joint EP with J. Hus wasn’t real. But these remixes are sure to hold them over. They’re a testament to Burna Boy’s constant evolution as an artist and his dedication to keeping his music fresh and exciting.

With these new cuts in circulation, fans can eagerly anticipate what other surprises the Grammy-winning megastar has up his sleeve for the rest of 2024.

Simi & Tiwa Savage Drop Single Collaboration “Men Are Crazy”

"Men Are Crazy": Simi & Tiwa Savage Drop New Single |

Afrobeats fans, rejoice! Nigerian superstars Simi and Tiwa Savage are collaborating for the first time; their highly anticipated collaboration is finally here. These two award-winning artists, who have dominated the scene with their incredible vocals and collaborative energy for over a decade, are dropping a track titled “Men Are Crazy,” released on April 5, 2024.

“Men Are Crazy” promises to be a song that women can relate to and men can’t help but tap their feet to. With a playful title that sets the mood, Simi opens the track with the unforgettable line, “Men are mad, but I still want one in my bed.” This lighthearted approach perfectly captures the song’s theme: the often-contradictory world of romantic relationships.

Throughout the track, both singers navigate the emotional rollercoaster of love, exploring its ups and downs with a blend of humour and honesty.

Simi’s smooth vocals weave effortlessly with Tiwa Savage’s signature swagger, creating a dynamic soundscape that combines pop, dancehall, and sweet melodies.

This collaboration marks a notable moment for Afrobeats music. While the genre boasts a wealth of talented female artists, it’s not often that we see them team up on songs. “Men Are Crazy” is a testament to the power of female friendship and artistic collaboration, offering fans a unique listening experience that combines the best of both worlds.

The release comes hot on the heels of Simi’s recent single “All I Want,” and it’s sure to further fuel anticipation for her upcoming fifth solo album. With “Men Are Crazy,” Simi and Tiwa Savage are not only delivering a catchy song, but they’re also setting a new standard for female collaboration in Afrobeats.
