“Merry Men: Nemesis” continues its successful run, holding the top spot at Nigerian cinemas for the third consecutive week, earning ₦13 million over the weekend.
The sequel to the “Merry Men” series has remained a favourite among Nigerian audiences since its release on October 13, 2023.
In its first week, it made ₦33.4 million, followed by ₦28.3 million, and now, after its third weekend (October 27-29, 2023), it has grossed a total of ₦75.4 million, according to the Cinema Exhibitors Association of Nigeria (CEAN).

In second place is the American action film “Freelance“, which made ₦12.3 million in its opening weekend on October 27, 2023. The movie features John Cena as a former special forces operator.

A new entry, “Trolls Band Together“, secured the third spot with a weekend gross of ₦6.3 million.
“Small Talk“, directed by Biodun Stephen, takes the fourth position. The movie, featuring Mr. Marcaroni and Lasisi Elenu, revolves around a gateman caught in a home robbery dilemma.
It earned ₦5.7 million in its opening weekend on October 27, 2023, and also includes actors Taye Arimoro, Moet Abebe, Blessing Nze, and Lizzy Jay.
