Super Eagles As 10th Most Valuable Team In The World | Fab.ng

The Super Eagles have secured the 10th position globally in terms of squad value, which is an exciting development for Nigerian football. Additionally, they have smugly claimed the distinction of being the highest-ranked national team in Africa based on squad value.

This newfound recognition is attributed to the Nigerian national team’s emergence of young, talented attackers, elevating the value of the team as a whole. Notably, this accomplishment has been greatly aided by the ascent of eminent athletes like Victor Osimhen, Victor Boniface, and Terem Moffi.

Nigeria’s Super Eagles are now among the top ten national teams in the world thanks to the increase in squad value. Given that they are the only member of this esteemed group from Africa, this exceptional achievement is all the more impressive.

Nigeria has become known as a source of elite attacking talent in recent years. Nigeria has gained attention due to the dearth of productive strikers in international football and the country’s possession of some of the game’s most highly prized attacking players.

For instance, Ademola Lookman is valued at €30 million, while Victor Osimhen has a market value of an impressive €120 million. Additionally, midfielders like Wilfred Ndidi and Alex Iwobi are estimated to be worth €25 million and €28 million, respectively, as are Victor Boniface ($40 million), Taiwo Awoniyi ($30 million), and others. The Super Eagles’ incredible squad is valued at €451.6 million as a result of these evaluations combined.

With a staggering team value of €1.37 billion, England is ranked as the most valuable national team in the world. Seven European teams, two South American teams, and the Super Eagles of Nigeria, who proudly represent the Confederation of African Football (CAF), make up the majority of this list. Here is the complete list as it was shared by @NGSuperEagles:

1. England – €1.37 billion
2. France – €1.05 billion
3. Portugal – €990 million
4. Brazil – €969 million
5. Spain – €811 million
6. Argentina – €797.5 million
7. Germany – €789.5 million
8. Italy – €636.5 million
9. Netherlands – €519 million
10. Nigeria – €451.6 million

This incredible honour is a testament to Nigerian football’s rising talent and the Super Eagles’ position as a powerful force on the world stage.

Taiwo Awoniyi Sets A Premier League Record | Fab.ng

Nigeria’s star striker, Taiwo Awoniyi, has etched his name in the English Premier League history books. He recently claimed the coveted title of “Highest Shot Conversion Rate” since the previous season commenced. His impressive feat has turned heads across the league, solidifying his position as a player to watch.

Taiwo Awoniyi, the Nigerian striker, is currently on loan at Nottingham Forest from Liverpool.

Despite being sidelined for 12 games due to injuries, he has delivered an impressive performance on the pitch.

In fact, his performance has surpassed that of other well-known players. One of the players is Erling Haaland, the Norwegian striker who currently plays for Borussia Dortmund. Others include Hee-Chan Hwang from RB Leipzig, Callum Wilson from Newcastle United, Diogo Jota from Liverpool, and Ivan Toney from Brentford.

Taiwo Awoniyi is currently firing on all cylinders. Reports reveal a remarkable shot conversion rate of 28.6%. This shot conversion exceeds even the prolific Erling Haaland of Manchester City, whose rate sits at 26.1%.

What makes this feat even more impressive? While Haaland boasts a higher total of 52 goals since last season, Awoniyi has achieved his success with just 16 goals. This means he’s making the most of his chances, converting them into goals at a rate that surpasses even some of the league’s top scorers.

Following his triumphant return from injury, Taiwo Awoniyi has been on a tear for Nottingham Forest. He has netted twice in his last five matches. His crucial opening goal in the 2-0 triumph over West Ham United proved instrumental in propelling the team further away from the dreaded relegation zone.

While his dream of representing Nigeria at the 2023 AFCON tournament may have been put on hold, Taiwo Awoniyi’s unwavering commitment to his club is evident.

As the team gears up for a Premier League clash against Aston Villa, all eyes will be glued to Awoniyi. Football stans are eager to see if he can maintain his exceptional form.

These preliminary fixtures promise to be a thrilling prelude to the main event as each team strives to earn their place among the elite contenders for the prestigious AFCON 2025 (Africa Cup of Nations) title.

According to CAF, “a total of 52 nations will be engaged for the CAF Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2025 qualifiers.”

The qualifiers will begin with a preliminary stage.

During this stage, the eight nations that are ranked the lowest according to the FIFA Rankings will compete against each other in matches that involve two legs. Only the four teams that emerge victorious from this stage will advance to join the other 44 teams in the group stage. In the group stage, all 48 teams will compete to qualify for the main tournament.
