The 2019 Billboard Music Awards held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena on Wednesday (May 1) in Las Vegas.

Hosted by Kelly Clarkson, the show had a star-studded attendance as well as an A-List lineup for performances with Madonna, Ciara, Kelly Clarkson, Halsey, Paula Abdul, Taylor Swift, Nick Jonas, and more gracing the stage.

Drake, Cardi B, and Ella Mai were big winners of the night.

Spotted in attendance were stars across Hollywood from TV stars Priyanka Chopra, Sophie Turner, Eva Longoria, Cobie Smolders, Chrissy Metz to music stars Khalid, Quavo of Migos, OffSet of Migos, Jennifer Hudson and more.

Nollywood actress Omoni Oboli is overflowing with joy! She took to her Instagram page to announce that her son, Tobe Oboli, is now married to his partner, Marelle.

Sharing her happiness with the world, Oboli posted several pictures from the joyous ceremony. The photos captured the essence of the day, showcasing the radiant bride and groom alongside the proud parents.

Dressed in a flowing, sky-blue lace gown adorned with beads, Oboli stood next to her husband, Nnamdi, and the newly married couple. Adding a personal touch, she even held a customised traditional hand fan spelling out her name, further highlighting the celebratory atmosphere.

Omoni Oboli couldn’t hide her affection for her new daughter-in-law, saying,

Ada Eme Shines at Miss World, Makes It To Top 40

A young Nigerian beauty queen, Ada Eme, is making waves at the prestigious 71st Miss World pageant in Mumbai, India. The 25-year-old Abia State native has secured a coveted spot amongst the competition’s top 40 finalists, thanks in part to her powerful and impactful performance during the head-to-head challenge.

This critical stage of the competition saw contestants address various global concerns, embodying the Miss World organization’s core principle of “beauty with a purpose.” Each contestant had the opportunity to articulate their personal projects aimed at tackling issues like environmental sustainability, healthcare, social justice, and education.

Eme’s project, aptly titled “Health for All,” tackled the critical issue of Schistosomiasis, a parasitic disease prevalent in tropical regions. Her compelling speech resonated with the judges and earned her a place in the top 40. Ada Eme also received a $5,000 award from the Miss World organization’s chairwoman, Julia Morley.

Driven by a personal conviction, Eme shared that her scholarship program beneficiaries were unfortunately forced to abandon their studies. This was due to the debilitating effects of schistosomiasis. This experience ignited her passion for making a tangible difference in the fight against this preventable disease.

Eme’s project focuses on providing crucial immunizations and treatment for children living in areas prone to the disease. This grassroots initiative aims to empower communities and safeguard the health and well-being of their most vulnerable members.

Confident and hopeful, Eme remains optimistic about her chances of securing the coveted crown at the grand finale, scheduled for this Saturday at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai, India.

This year’s Miss World pageant, which commenced on February 18th, boasts a vibrant tapestry of diverse participants. Alongside Nigeria, several other African nations are vying for the prestigious title, including Angola, Botswana, Cameroon, and many more.

Marie Wiseborn, the recently married wife of renowned Nigerian gospel singer Moses Bliss, has come forward to share the heartwarming story of how they met online. It seems love truly bloomed online for this blessed couple.

Earlier reports revealed that the two soulmates, or rather, “kingdom love birds,” first connected on the popular social media platform Instagram. The story goes that the young woman, who embodies great dance moves, created a video dancing to one of the singer’s most popular songs, “Miracle No Dey Tire Jesus.” This captivating performance caught the eye of the singer himself, and a beautiful connection blossomed from there.

After celebrating their marriage in a beautiful and traditional ceremony steeped in Ghanaian culture, renowned gospel artist Moses Bliss held a special praise concert in Ghana on February 1st. During the concert, he invited his wife to the stage to share her personal story of faith and love.

Marie Wiseborn, radiating elegance, took the podium and shared a remarkable story. Guided by what she believed to be a nudge from the Holy Spirit, she shared a dance video online, and it unexpectedly caught the attention of a popular singer.

Continuing her narrative, she revealed that she sent a kind message to the artist, wishing them a happy Sunday. This interaction sparked a conversation.

Her story has sparked a wave of interest online, with many following her lead by creating their own dance videos in hopes of finding love on social media. However, she cautioned them, urging them to remember the essence behind the act and not get sidetracked by seeking mere external validation.
