The inner voice is our conscience, perhaps our sense of right or wrong. Better still it is our intuition and our awareness. Our deeper understanding of feeling in control of our lives, while living true to our integrity and accountability to ourselves and to others. Ignore your intuition at your peril. All your life there has been an inner voice offering guidance, gently and sometimes urgently. It’s not a voice you hear necessarily, but a sense or a feeling (though it can be a voice for some). It can also be a hunch or fleeting feeling, image, or impression.

Clearing the Way

Listening for your inner voice is like training a new muscle. It doesn’t happen almost immediately, but if you make a consistent effort to hone it, the stronger it will become. During this process, you will learn more about yourself and it will be a game changer. Clearing the way it helps to prepare yourself and it also lets your subconscious know that you are truly ready to make changes.

Start listening to yourself, and to the signs the universe is displaying all around you after all the body doesn’t lie. Not just to your mental reservations but to your body as well. Discomfort with a decision often manifests as physical symptoms such as nausea, insomnia, agitation. You may easily miss these as signs that you’re uncomfortable with the decision you’ve made or are about to make, but if you pay attention you’ll likely find you have the same physical reactions to ignoring your inner voice time after time.

Cultivate present moment awareness

In other words, live in the present. The past is in the past, and the future hasn’t come yet. Just focus on now, how are you feeling right now. Once you are able to live more in the present moment without worrying about the future and the past, you will be able to listen more closely.

Release fear and doubt and be confident

Author Roy T. Bennet says, “You will never follow your own inner voice until you clear up the doubts in your mind.”

Letting go of fear and doubt is difficult. Sometimes we need to quietly ponder and hone our instincts. Other times we need strong support systems, friends, and family, those who are in our corner, to help us and encourage true positive change. Start to embrace who you truly are, your true inner self, and be confident in that person.

Meditate

The power of meditation cannot be over emphasized. Just sit for a few minutes each day with yourself, with no distractions. Start to see what comes up in your mind, try to quiet your mind, and then see what comes up again. Meditation is a great way to really get to know your true self and listen.

Falz says he wasn't pressured to become a lawyer | fab.ng

Nigerian rapper Falz has clarified that he was not pressured to study law due to his father’s success in the field.

Falz revealed in an interview with Chude Jideonwo on the “With Chude” podcast that his father, Femi Falana SAN, helped and fought for people who inspired him. This experience motivated him to pursue a legal career, contrary to popular belief.

He said,

“I won’t say it was pressure but when I was super young, it was like, ‘These people have to be something’ because I was already getting that reaction everywhere I went. And if I ever mentioned my name, people would be like, ‘Which Falana? Is it Femi Falana? Oh wow.'”

“Everyone sort of had a story about how my dad came to their aid at some point in time and how he fought for them and was there for them. At that time it was me taking everything in, like, ‘this is something’. So at that point in time, I wasn’t pressured; I aspired to emulate what he was doing,” he added.

This recognition made a deep impact on him, and he decided on his own to study law. Although he pursued a legal education, he practiced law only for a short period.

His decision to enter the field came from personal motivation. Despite his brief time practicing, the experience left its mark. Indeed, it shaped his perspective and contributing to his overall journey.

“I did practice law for a short period of time. Very short, almost two years. I worked at the Ministry of Justice during my youth service, which was like 2012 or so, then in 2013 I was at my father’s firm and 2014 was when things started to pick up for me so I started going out of practice,” he added in between laughter.

Bobrisky Breaks Silence on Falz Defamation Claims | fab.ng

Following a 24-hour ultimatum to retract defamatory statements made against Nigerian singer Falz and his father in a viral voice note, crossdresser Bobrisky has issued a statement.

In an Instagram post on October 16, 2023, Bobrisky denied making any defamatory remarks about Falz or his father. He emphasized that he is awaiting an official response from his legal counsel before providing further details on the matter.

This statement comes in response to the serious allegations made against Bobrisky, which have sparked widespread public attention and concern.

He wrote,

“TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN: In reply to the two letters in circulation from the Law Firm of the Falanas. I like to state for the records and pending the official reply from my counsel, state for the avoidance of doubt that I, Okuneye Idris Olanrewaju, aka Bobrisky, did not publish any defamatory statement or statements concerning the learnt SAN and his Son Falz.”

Bobrisky demands accountability from the publisher of defamatory statements against Falz and his father.

“It is in the public domain pursuant to my solicitor’s letter dated the 27th day of September 2024 that I have denied any knowledge of what VDM published. I stand by my express denial and put the matter to strict proof and advise that whoever has been defamed should hold the publisher of the defamatory content and my fundamental rights to privacy of my communications should be respected and protected.”

In another story post, Bobrisky emphasized that the responsibility lay with Verydarkman, not him.

“I OKUNEYE idris aka BOBRISKY didn’t give Falz or his dad any money for pardon. As a matter of fact no penny was given to them. Have said dis before and i will say it again. The person that published an Audio online should take fully responsible for what he posted in public. My lawyer will respond to any further information d public want to about dis ongoing issue trending on social media,” he wrote.

The controversy erupted when media personality Verydarkman released an alleged voice note from Bobrisky that quickly spread across the internet.

In this explosive recording, Bobrisky openly admitted that he had evaded prison time despite receiving a sentence for money laundering. Furthermore, the crossdresser boldly claimed that he had paid both Falz and his father to secure a pardon.

Subsequently, after the damaging voice note became public, Falz and his father’s law chambers took immediate action by issuing a stern 24-hour ultimatum to Verydarkman, demanding that he retract his statement.

However, Verydarkman remained defiant and refused to comply with their demands. As a result of his non-compliance, the legal battle intensified, leading to the court’s decisive action.

Finally, the court ruled against Verydarkman. They imposed a substantial fine of ₦500 million. Additionally, they ordered him to remove all defamatory posts related to the matter.
