Yoruba actor Femi Adebayo recently released the official trailer for his new project, “Seven Doors,” set to premiere on Netflix on December 13, 2024.

Previously, Femi Adebayo launched a new project after “Jagun Jagun” won multiple awards at AMVCA and AMAA. The celebrated actor-producer moves forward with fresh creative ambitions.

His previous epic film captured audiences with its stunning visuals and compelling storyline. Now, he prepares to bring another captivating story to the screen.

The veteran actor unveiled the trailer for the limited series on his official Instagram account.

“Today, the 5th door opened. A full view of the laughter, the tears, the uncertainties, the conniving, the vengeance, the twists that come together to make a tale like no other. A tale of kingship, kinship, family, love, betrayal, and restitution. This is SEVEN DOORS! A limited series project which blood, sweat, and complete dedication was put in to make it work. The entire crew, cast, and I were committed from the start to making this project as authentic and compelling as possible. Mark your calendars! December 13 Seven Doors. Only on Netflix,” the post said.

Seven Doors takes viewers on a journey through 18th and 19th-century Nigeria. The story centres on a unique royal marriage between a Yoruba King and his beloved Igbo queen. Their peaceful reign, built on mutual respect and understanding, soon faces unprecedented challenges.

Furthermore, the arrival of an ambitious Hausa investor disrupts the kingdom’s harmony. Subsequently, his modern business plans clash with deep-rooted traditions. This creates ripples across the royal household.

Meanwhile, the once-peaceful palace transforms into a battleground of conflicting interests and cultural values.

Additionally, the series showcases Nigeria’s cultural diversity through its stellar cast. Notably, veteran actors Chioma Akpotha, Femi Adebayo, and Adebayo Salami bring their characters to life.

What’s more, talented performers like Ronke Oshodi, Muyiwa Ademola, and Jide Kosoko add depth to the narrative.

Finally, the exceptional performances of Aisha Lawal, Yinka Quadri, and Gabriel Afolayan help weave this complex tale of love, power, and tradition.

The official trailer for “Two of a Kind” has now launched, marking the latest directorial work from acclaimed filmmaker Shirley Frimpong-Manso.

Leading Nollywood actress Rita Dominic leads the cast in this new production. The film completed its primary filming phase earlier this year.

The star also shared the film’s trailer with her followers through her Instagram platform, generating excitement for the upcoming release.

“And drums roll! Here’s the official trailer for ‘Two Of A Kind’ featuring yours truly! One of the many things I like about #twoofakindfilm is, there are many young, budding, talented actors in it and they did their thing under the tutelage of acclaimed director @shirleyfmanso. Kudos to them!” the post said.

Acclaimed Ghanaian filmmaker Shirley Frimpong-Manso directed and wrote “Two of a Kind.” It centered on a heartbroken resort owner at the scenic Volta Lake Resort.

The owner opens her doors to host a young couple’s first wedding anniversary celebration. Her plans shift dramatically upon discovering their marriage faces imminent collapse.

The resort owner battles her personal grief while desperately trying to save the couple’s relationship. Their friends’ arrival creates additional tension, threatening to destroy the couple’s already fragile connection.

She faces her own emotional darkness in search of purpose, knowing failure could lead to complete self-destruction.

British audiences can experience this compelling drama in select UK cinemas starting Friday, November 29, 2024.

Ghanaian viewers will find the film at Silverbird Gh locations in West Hills Mall and Accra Mall from Friday, December 20, 2024.

The powerhouse Nigerian-Ghanaian cast features Rita Dominic, Gloria Osei Sarfo, Akrobeto Akwasi Boadi, Arion Amon, Gideon Kojo Boakye, Jessica Larny, Araba Dansowaa, Dean Louis, Chiderah David, Sena Fafali Ahiable, Michael Katahena, and Abla Sena.

Hollywood legend Denzel Washington has announced his intention to star in the highly anticipated third instalment of Marvel’s “Black Panther” franchise before retiring from acting.

The acclaimed actor, who currently portrays a pivotal role in Ridley Scott’s upcoming film “Gladiator 2,” made this revelation during a recent interview on Australia’s “Today Show.”

“I am only interested in working with the best. I don’t know how many more films I’m going to make. Probably not that many,” he said.

As he was sharing the roles he has lined up before a possible retirement, Denzel Washington made a statement saying,

“I’m playing Othello at 22, now I am playing Othello at 70. After that, I am playing Hannibal. After that, I have been talking with Steve McQueen about a film. Ryan Coogle is writing a part for me in the next Black Panther. Then I’ll do Othello and after that, I am going to do King Lear. After that, I am going to retire,” he added.

In 2018, Marvel Studios released the critically acclaimed superhero film ‘Black Panther’, which featured the late Chadwick Boseman in the titular role.

The movie boasted an ensemble cast that included Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Martin Freeman, Daniel Kaluuya, Letitia Wright, and Winston Duke.

Following Boseman’s tragic passing, Marvel produced a sequel, ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever‘, which premiered in 2022.

This highly anticipated follow-up continued the story of the technologically advanced nation of Wakanda and its heroic protectors.

The immense popularity and cultural impact of the ‘Black Panther’ franchise have solidified its place as a landmark achievement in superhero cinema.
