D’banj has set August 16th as the release date for his new album, “The Entertainer D’Sequel“. This album is D’banj’s fifth and is a sequel to his famous 2008 album. The 2008 album contained many hit songs that helped make D’banj a superstar.

D’banj announced the release date in a video. This video featured actor Gideon Okeke and Don Jazzy, who is D’banj’s longtime associate and co-founder of Mo’hits.

For “The Entertainer D’Sequel”, D’banj has worked with many international stars. These include Grammy winner Wyclef Jean, Congolese artist Awilo Logomba, and Senegalese singer Youssou N’Dour.

Other international collaborators on the album are American singer Akon, South African DJ Maphorisa, and Chechi Sarai, who gained fame on NBC’s The Voice.

Furthermore, the new album also features collaborations with Nigerian artists. These include Phyno, Timaya, Kayswitch, Zlatan, Peruzzi, Bhadboi Oml, and Chuchu Lee.

Before the full album release, D’banj released a new single called “Worthy”. This song features Youssou N’Dour and Chechi Sarai. It was released on July 19 and gives listeners a preview of what to expect from the full album.

D’banj has expressed his excitement about the upcoming album. He said,

“Life is a maze of self-discovery and my new album, ‘Entertainer – The Sequel’ confirms this truth to me. It’s a true reflection of my growth as an artist and my continued commitment to pushing the boundaries of African music. D’banj is gearing up for a global tour in partnership with The Temple Company. The tour will kick off following the release of his latest album.
