This exciting project is a collaboration between Anthill Studios, owned by filmmaker Niyi Akinmolayan, and renowned Nollywood actress Eniola Ajao.

While rooted in Yoruba tradition, “Beast of Two Worlds” promises a fresh take on the epic genre, offering something unique and thrilling for audiences.

Eniola Ajao herself shared exclusive details with ShockNg, revealing that the film will stay true to its cultural roots while also incorporating unexpected twists and turns. This exciting blend of tradition and innovation has us eager to see what “Beast of Two Worlds” has in store.

“Beast of Two Worlds is a twist on the epic narrative and it has a strong moral value and lesson to take home. It’s a movie that was made with so much love and passion and I’m sure the Nigerian audience would love it,” she expressed.

“Beast of Two Worlds,” directed by Odunlade Adekola and Adebayo Tijani, delves into the life of a desperate king, played by Adekola, who faces the threat of banishment due to his lack of a male heir. To remedy this, he marries a new wife, portrayed by Ajao, from another realm, who pledges to bear him a son.

However, her arrival brings unforeseen turmoil to the kingdom, compelling the king to confront his deepest fears and battle to safeguard the future of his dynasty.

The film boasts an impressive ensemble cast, featuring Sola Sobowale, Femi Adebayo, Lateef Adedimeji, Mercy Aigbe, Bimbo Akintola, Fathia Balogun, Ibrahim Chatta, Peju Ogunmola, and Olayode Juliana.

Ajao revealed her admiration for Anthill Productions’ past works when discussing the rationale behind partnering with Niyi Akinmolayan. She expressed her appreciation for their previous projects in a simple, straightforward manner.

“Anthill Studios is a company that knows their stuff, I fell in love with their commitment to the love of films, their contagious energy always to want to tell stories their way and when I made Beast of Two Worlds there was no one better suited to partner with than Anthill Studios, I mean its evident in their past works.”

Nollywood actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele has announced the cast of her upcoming film, “Finding Me.” From May 14, 2024, to May 28, 2024, Akindele has been revealing the cast daily through reels posted on her Instagram.

Details about the film’s plot and exact release date are still unknown. The film is being produced by The Funke Akindele Network (FAAN), Akindele’s production company.

A few months ago, Akindele also announced another upcoming film, “Everybody Loves Jenifa,” from the “Jenifa” franchise, which will premiere in December 2024. She stated, “Been long you saw Jenifa!!!!”

Akindele is one of Nollywood’s most accomplished filmmakers. She produced the popular “Jenifa” franchise and delivered Nigeria’s highest-grossing film, “A Tribe Called Judah,” which earned over ₦1.4 billion.

She also produced “Battle on Buka Street,” the second-highest-grossing film in Nigeria, which made ₦668 million, and “Omo Ghetto: The Saga,” the third-highest-grossing film, grossing ₦636 million.

Akindele is the most-awarded actress at the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) with five wins, including:

“The Return of Sheri Koko” (Best Actress in a Comedy, 2014)

Uzor Arukwe says actors need to learn to accept criticism | fab.ng

In a recent interview with Top Charts Africa on May 27, 2024, Nollywood actor Uzor Arukwe opened up about the importance of criticism.

He emphasised that criticism, rather than being something to shy away from, is actually a valuable tool for self-improvement. Arukwe believes that constructive criticism can help us learn and grow as individuals.

“I love criticism and feedback because it helps you to become a better actor. You can’t be an actor if you’re not open to criticism,” he said.

Uzor Arukwe didn’t stop there.

He went on to say that actors, in particular, need to develop thick skin. They should learn how to accept feedback and criticism, even if it’s tough to hear and they don’t necessarily agree with it.

“An actor doesn’t need to love criticism, but they must learn to accept it,” he said.

Uzor Arukwe also shared his thoughts on what makes a truly great actor. He explained that it’s not just about delivering lines perfectly.

“There are too many factors involved. One, for me, is the ability to listen and react accordingly. Also, mastering stillness is important too. In this part of the world, we’re taught to react to everything and every situation. But, in reality, people don’t have to react to every utterance and situation. For me, the ability of an actor to attentively and honestly listen and be still is what makes a great actor,” he said.

Arukwe disagreed with the common idea that acting is just about memorising lines. He believes there’s much more to it.

“Acting isn’t really about the lines, but about how you perform in a natural way that makes people question if you’re acting or not,” he said.

Uzor Arukwe is a star in Nollywood who’s been impressing audiences for years. He first appeared on screen in the 2014 film “Unspoken Truth.” His big break came in 2019 with the movie “Code Wilo,” where he played Sergeant Tutu.

Since then, Uzor has racked up credits in a variety of Nollywood films, including “In Line,” “Sugar Rush,” “The Set Up,” “Hire a Woman,” “Kpali,” “Chief Daddy 2: Going for Broke,” and “A Tribe Called Judah.” He’s definitely an actor to watch!
