After years of championing Nigerian music globally, Davido finally achieved a coveted spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart thanks to his collaboration with Chris Brown on “Sensational.”
This song, released in 2023 as one of the main singles for Chris Brown’s album “11:11,” marked a significant milestone for both Davido and fellow Nigerian artist Lojay, who were both featured on the track.
Debuting at No. 96, “Sensational” steadily climbed the chart, recently reaching a new peak of No. 94 on the February 17, 2024 edition.
This upward trajectory not only represents Davido and Lojay’s highest position on the chart but also grants them entry into the exclusive club of Nigerian artists who have spent multiple weeks on the Billboard Hot 100. Rema currently holds the record for the longest stay with his hit “Calm Down,” which spent over 52 weeks on the chart.

Davido’s momentum doesn’t seem to be slowing down in 2024. He made a splash with his recent appearance on the remix of Kizz Daniel‘s song “Twe Twe,” further solidifying his presence in the music scene.
Although he didn’t win any of his three nominations at the 66th Grammy Awards, this setback is unlikely to deter him. With his talent and dedication, Davido can undoubtedly be expected to continue adding to his impressive collection of hit songs and pushing boundaries in the music world.
