Miley Cyrus’s achievement on Spotify in 2023 surpasses the record set by Harry Styles, the former One Direction member, with his song “As It Was” the previous year.
Rumours suggest that the song, which broke world records, was inspired by Miley Cyrus’s ex-husband, Liam Hemsworth. Their relationship began while co-starring in the film “The Last Song“, and the lyrics, such as “built a home and watched it burn”, are thought to allude to the California wildfire that destroyed their house in 2018.
