Inkblot Productions has officially confirmed the release date of their upcoming Nigerian crime thriller, “No Way Through” in a much-awaited announcement. The film promises a dramatic and compelling story and is scheduled to debut globally and exclusively on Amazon Prime Video in December.

Funke Akindele, Chidi Mokeme, Chioma Chukwuka, Ikechukwu, Nengi Adoki, Seun Ajayi, Jr. Pope, Eso Dike, Roberta Oroma, and Sheggz Olusemo are among the legendary Nollywood actors that appear in the film. “No Way Through” is a film directed by Chinaza Onuzo, the CEO of Inkblot, who also wrote the screenplay. It chronicles the struggles of Jolade Okeniyi, a single mother. Her primary source of revenue comes from her job as a driver for a nearby drug gang. After being detained by the police, Jolade is forced to make the difficult decision to turn informant against the cartel to save her freedom and keep her daughter safe, even if doing so could put them at risk of the cartel’s lethal repercussions.

In expressing his enthusiasm for the research, Onuzo emphasised the chance it presented to investigate the extent people will go to to protect those they care about. In particular, he highlighted the emotional impact of the movie’s examination of a mother’s love for her daughter.

Nollywood actor and filmmaker Odunlade Adekola has announced his new Yoruba-language movie called “Lakatabu.” The trailer for “Lakatabu” is now out. The film features Adebayo Salami, Adedimeji Lateef, and Akin Lewis. It will be released in cinemas on June 21, 2024.

“When a man begins to use his powers for criminal activities, threatening the lives of citizens with his power and connections. He is Lakatabu the fierce one,” Adekola said on Instagram on Sunday, June 9, 2024.

The movie trailer introduces us to Lakatabu, a ruthless criminal played by Odunlade Adekola. Lakatabu isn’t your average robber – he possesses mysterious magical abilities that make him even more dangerous. The trailer portrays Lakatabu’s reign of terror as he steals, kidnaps, and even murders with impunity. However, a dark turn emerges when Lakatabu finds himself threatened by rivals, hinting at a coming confrontation.

A few months ago, Akindele also announced another upcoming film, “Everybody Loves Jenifa,” from the “Jenifa” franchise, which will premiere in December 2024. She stated, “Been long you saw Jenifa!!!!”

Akindele is one of Nollywood’s most accomplished filmmakers. She produced the popular “Jenifa” franchise and delivered Nigeria’s highest-grossing film, “A Tribe Called Judah,” which earned over ₦1.4 billion.

She also produced “Battle on Buka Street,” the second-highest-grossing film in Nigeria, which made ₦668 million, and “Omo Ghetto: The Saga,” the third-highest-grossing film, grossing ₦636 million.

Akindele is the most-awarded actress at the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) with five wins, including:
