Unfortunately, the first Afro Nation Nigeria event, initially set for December 19 and 20, 2023, has been called off.
Organizers announced on October 31, 2023, citing the inability to meet the high standards required for a top-quality show in Nigeria.
They expressed their honour in contributing to the Afrobeats community and connecting artists with fans globally but stated they couldn’t deliver the expected quality for the Lagos event in December 2023.
Despite having organized successful shows in various locations, including Portugal, Ghana, Puerto Rico, Miami, and Detroit, they have a special fondness for Nigeria but regret not being able to celebrate this year.

The organizers assured their commitment to creating a remarkable Afro Nation event in Lagos in the future.
Ticket holders will receive full refunds, and there’s no need for them to take any action; they will receive an email with refund details.
The cancellation is undoubtedly disappointing for Nigerian fans who were looking forward to the Afro Nation Festival’s unique atmosphere.
Previously announced headliners for the event included Burna Boy, J Hus, Flavour, Seyi Vibez, and Black Sherif.
With the cancellation of Afro Nation Nigeria, Ghana remains the sole African country to have hosted the global festival.
