Busta Rhymes has told fans that he and Dr Dre are finishing work on his long-awaited next solo album.

The rapper last put out a solo record in 2012 with ‘Year Of The Dragon’. Since then, he has released three mixtapes, and three singles featuring the likes of Swizz Beatz, Missy Elliott, and Kelly Rowland.

“Oh shit!!! Back in the Kitchen wit the good @drdre Adding the finishing touches,” Busta captioned a post on Instagram that showed the two hip-hop icons sat at a studio mixing desk. In another post, he added: “You mutha fucka’s are in really BIG fucking trouble…”

Dre’s role on the album has yet to be confirmed but it has been suggested he could be aiding his friend on either the production or engineering side of things. He has previously contributed to the production of another of Busta’s albums in 2006’s ‘The Big Bang’.

More details of the album, including title, features, and a firm release date, are still under wraps but it is expected to be released at some point this year.
