Afrobeats sensation Rema has returned to his home state of Benin for a highly anticipated homecoming tour. The singer arrived last Tuesday and was immediately welcomed with a warm reception.
One of the highlights of his visit was the groundbreaking ceremony for the 6,000-capacity Edo Arena. It was being named after him in recognition of his achievements. Governor Godwin Obaseki was present to honor Rema with this prestigious gesture.
Rema also paid a visit to the Oba of Benin, Oba Ewuare II, at his palace. During his visit, he is said to have entertained the monarch with his musical talents. As a token of appreciation, the Oba presented Rema with a royal plaque.
The concert, the centerpiece of Rema’s homecoming tour, is eagerly awaited by fans and music enthusiasts alike.
