Mary Njoku Addresses Religious Women Who Are Hesitant To Mention IVF In Their Testimonies

Mary Remmy Njoku addresses religious women on IVF | fab.ng

Nollywood actress and filmmaker Mary Remmy Njoku has issued a powerful message to Nigerian religious women, encouraging them to embrace In Vitro Fertilization (IVF).

In a heartfelt Instagram post, she emphasized that there is no shame or stigma associated with IVF. She said God has given humanity the wisdom to overcome challenges and find innovative solutions.

Njoku urged religious women to include IVF in their testimonies. This would allow their inspiring stories to uplift and bless other families who may be facing similar struggles. She highlighted the importance of sharing personal experiences to provide hope and encouragement to those who may be considering IVF as a path to parenthood.

IVF is a medical procedure that involves fertilizing a woman’s egg with a man’s sperm in a laboratory setting. This technique offers a valuable option for couples who are unable to conceive naturally.

Mary Njoku also emphasized that sharing a testimony on IVF is not a mandatory requirement.

She advised those who may feel uncomfortable or unable to disclose their full story to refrain from speaking altogether, rather than risking displeasing God. This guidance was particularly aimed at new parents who had used IVF but chose to keep that information private when sharing their experiences.

“Dear Nigerian religious women, IVF is not wrong. God gave us wisdom to solve our problems. Don’t hesitate to include IVF in your testimonies, so God can use your story to inspire and bless other families,” she wrote.

In a subsequent post, Mary Remmy Njoku, the founder of ROK TV, condemned those who falsely claim that IVF failed them but attribute their child to a different miracle. She asserted that such claims were misguided and that IVF and C-sections were, in themselves, remarkable miracles.

What’s more, she emphasized that countless families had been blessed through these medical procedures. Further, she urged individuals to refrain from using religion to dissuade others from seeking their own miracles. Njoku reminded her audience that miracles come in many forms. Indeed, embracing modern medical advancements does not diminish the divine power at work.

The filmmaker wrote, “Saying IVF failed you, but God gave you a miracle is absurd. IVF is a miracle! C-sections are a miracle! God has blessed countless families through them. If it didn’t work for you, it might work for someone else. Stop using religion to discourage others from receiving their blessings. Miracles can come in different forms.”

Tyla Wins Best Afrobeats At The 2024 VMAs

Tyla Wins Best Afrobeats at the 2024 VMAs | fab.ng

South African music sensation Tyla made history at this year’s MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs). She became the first female African artist to win the prestigious Best Afrobeats award. Her groundbreaking victory was a testament to the immense talent and diversity of African music. This challenges the narrow perception that African music is solely represented by Afrobeats.

Hosted by the dynamic Megan Thee Stallion at the UBS Arena in Queens, New York, the 2024 VMAs showcased a significant breakthrough for African music. Tyla’s chart-topping hit “Water” secured her the coveted Best Afrobeats award.

With this award, she matches up with a stellar lineup of African artists. These artists include Burna Boy, Tems, Davido, Ayra Starr, Lojay, and Pheelz. Additionally, she was nominated for Best New Artist and Best RnB.

After receiving her award from the iconic Lil Nas X and Halle Bailey, Tyla expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the organizers of the VMAs. She emphasized the significance of her win for Africa. She highlighted that the success of “Water” not only had a global impact. Also, the song demonstrated the immense potential of African music to transcend genres and become mainstream pop.

“Like this is just so special but also bittersweet because I know there’s a tendency to group all African artists under Afrobeats,” she said.  “African music is so diverse, it’s more than just Afrobeats.”

Tyla’s victory follows in the footsteps of Rema, who claimed the inaugural Best Afrobeats award last year for his hit song “Calm Down” featuring Selena Gomez. This series of wins underscores the growing recognition and appreciation for African music on the global stage.

Meanwhile, Taylor Swift dominated the night with an impressive seven wins, tying for the most overall awards. Eminem also made a significant impact, securing the most solo male artist wins.

Mohbad: Naira Marley & Sam Larry Face Potential Subpoena For Ignoring Coroner’s Invitation

Mohbad: Naira Marley & Sam Larry to face subpoena | fab.ng

A Coroner’s Court in Ikorodu, Lagos State, has issued a stern warning to key witnesses. These key witnesses have repeatedly failed to attend the ongoing inquest into the tragic death of popular singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba, better known by his stage name, Mohbad.

Magistrate T. A. Sotobi made a decision. He granted permission to Joseph Aloba, Mohbad’s father. Aloba can now serve a witness summons through the use of a national newspaper and social media platforms.

Several individuals have been summoned to testify. These include Azeez Fashola, known as Naira Marley. Samson Eletu, also called Sam Larry, is on the list. Karimot Ogunbayo, Mohbad’s sister-in-law, must appear. Oluwasanmi Falade, the late singer’s lawyer, is also summoned.

The court also wants to hear from Feyisayo Ogedengbe. She’s the nurse who treated Mohbad on his final day. Fidelis Esanbor, Mohbad’s driver, rounds out the list of summoned witnesses.

On Wednesday, Taiwo Odumosu, the legal representative of the Aloba family, informed reporters that only Mohbad’s associate, Boluwatife Adeyemo (aka Darosha), was present among the key witnesses. Odumosu expressed disappointment at the absence of the other individuals. He revealed that the magistrate is considering issuing subpoenas if they continue to evade the next hearing, set for September 30.

The family of Mohbad has voiced their deep frustration with the police investigation into his death.

In a statement signed by Emmanuel Oroko of Hilceetee Partner, Odumosu criticized the police for relying solely on witness accounts instead of conducting a thorough investigation.

Odumosu addressed Darosha’s involvement. He clarified the situation regarding Mohbad’s embalmment. The lawyer stated that no charges have been filed against Darosha. The family’s legal team remains vigilant in monitoring the case closely. The lawyers have set a clear goal. They aim to secure justice for Mohbad.

“We petitioned the Inspector General of Police and the Police Service Commission (PSC) to remove the officers handling the case due to their mishandling of the investigation,” he said.

Odumosu took action and called on the Police Service Commission (PSC). He targeted specific officers who had initially handled Mohbad’s death investigation. Odumosu demanded scrutiny of their work. He accused these officers of gross negligence, claiming that they failed to carry out their duties diligently and thoroughly.

Mohbad tragically passed away at the young age of 27 on September 12, 2023. The circumstances surrounding his death have sparked widespread speculation and intense debate on social media platforms.
