Sneak peek into the “Lisabi: The Uprising” film’s plot

Set in the 18th-century Oyo Empire, the films chronicle the life of an Egba farmer who sparks a rebellion against oppressive rule. Lisabi harnesses the collective power of fellow farmers and his own mysterious abilities to challenge the empire. His defiance culminates in the defeat of over 6,000 Oyo soldiers. This secured Egba’s independence after centuries of subjugation and marked a pivotal moment in Yoruba history.
