Burna Boy’s comments followed Brymo’s assertion that Burna Boy doesn’t meet his musical standards, made during an appearance on ‘Curiosity Made Me Ask’ with Bae U.
Brymo mentioned in the interview that Burna Boy’s diss freestyle wasn’t original as Burna Boy had pre-written the lyrics, and Brymo stated he would never include Burna Boy’s name in his song because he doesn’t hold Burna Boy in high regard.
“Is it (the freestyle) not Burna Boy lyrics? But he would like to know that nothing in this world would make me put his name in my song. He no reach my standard,” Brymo said.
Brymo also claimed that he is the best vocalist on the African continent.
“I’m not proud enough. I’m probably the finest vocalist on the continent. Better than anybody. I’m not thinking. I know this,” he boasted.
The whole Burna Boy and Brymo drama started with an interview. Brymo was on TVC talking about his upcoming album “Macabre” (which wasn’t released yet). He accused Burna Boy of stealing a part of it for his hit song “City Boy.” Brymo basically said Burna Boy wasn’t original and took his music.
Burna Boy’s response to Brymo on the ‘Thanks Freestyle’ was “No go fall off like Brymo”.
Both Burna Boy and Brymo are undeniably talented musicians, but their recent actions haven’t exactly won them popularity contests. This feud is just another example of how their behaviour can sometimes cause problems.
