Veteran Nollywood actor Osita Iheme, also known by his famous nickname Pawpaw, likes how people use funny pictures (memes) from his movies online.
In a recent interview with NXT KLTR, he said he’s happy people are still finding enjoyment in his older films. These memes show that his work is still relevant and continues to entertain people today.
“It’s good to see that your works are doing well out there and people are appreciating what you are doing,” he said.

Continuing, he said,
“Even though it has been so many years people are still valuing it years later. It’s good and it shows that you have an asset that you can always back up and bank with. Because when you look at 20 years ago, the works you’ve done and you see that people are using it to express themselves, you’d feel happy. I feel happy. “
Osita Iheme, the actor who played Pawpaw in Nollywood movies, has become memes legend. Over the last few years, funny pictures and stickers of him from his older films have been everywhere on social media. These memes are hilarious, and people use them to add humour to their online chats.
Pawpaw’s memes aren’t just popular in Nigeria; they were even used all over the world during the lockdowns in 2020.
Here’s the thing: Pawpaw is actually one half of a famous Nollywood comedy duo called Aki and Pawpaw. His partner-in-crime is Chinedu Ikedieze, who plays Aki. Together, they starred in a bunch of hit movies way back in the day, like “Aki Na Ukwa,” “Village Rats,” and “Double Wahala.”
Even though it’s been more than 20 years, Aki and Pawpaw are still huge stars in Nigeria. They’re living proof that funny movies and memes can leave a lasting impression!
