Users on TikTok widely recreated segments of the “Kulosa” music video, propelling the song to global recognition. Released in June 2022, “Kulosa” was distributed by Epic Records France and quickly became a hit, especially in France. It peaked at number 18 on the SNEP chart and finished the year at number 141.
Live Performance Sparks Enthusiasm
During a live recording of the “Zero Conditions Podcast” in December 2023, Oxlade shared that the crowd erupted when he performed “Kulosa” at Wizkid’s concert at the Accor Arena in France, highlighting the song’s strong connection with the audience.

The official music video, which ignited the social media challenge, has surpassed 80 million views on YouTube. Additionally, a remix featuring Cuban pop star Camila Cabello further boosted the song’s international appeal.

With over 287 million streams on Spotify, “Kulosa” joins the ranks of other Afrobeats songs certified diamond in France, including “Last Last” by Burna Boy, “Rush” by Ayra Starr, and “Calm Down” by Rema. This achievement signifies the growing global influence of Afrobeats music.
