Mark your calendars! The Nigerian film “Orah,” directed by Lonzo Nzekwe (“Anchor Baby”), will hit audiences in select Canadian cinemas starting February 9th, 2024. Catch it at Cineplex Cinemas in Toronto, Colossus Cineplex Cinemas in Vaughan, Cineplex Odeon Eglinton Town Centre Cinemas in Scarborough, and SilverCity Brampton Cinemas in Brampton. LevelFILM is the official distributor.
This powerful story follows Orah, a taxi driver in Canada, who embarks on a relentless quest for vengeance against a Nigerian drug trafficking ring responsible for her son’s tragic death. The journey becomes personal for Nzekwe, who tragically lost his own brother to a stray bullet fired by a police officer in 2016. Fueled by this personal loss, the script, which took over 11 years to develop, ultimately transformed into a gripping revenge thriller.
