Get ready for a taste of Nollywood in New York City! The much anticipated film “Love & Seclusion” is making its US debut this Friday, February 23rd, at New York University.
This captivating drama, directed by Orire Nwani and starring Efa Iwara and Tope Olowoniyan, follows a couple seeking to use the pandemic lockdown as an opportunity to start a family. However, their individual desires quickly clash, throwing their relationship into question.
“Love & Seclusion” was recognized by the New York City Women’s Fund in 2023, receiving support for its compelling story and talented female writer, Clementina Ojie. After the New York premiere, there will be a Q&A session with the cast and creative team, offering audiences a deeper insight into the film’s creation.
While there is no global release date yet, the producers hint at a wider release later in 2024 after showcasing “Love & Seclusion” at different festivals.
“After they run on the festival circuit, the production team is quite confident of a wider release in 2024,” it said.
“In addition to this exciting premiere, Conceptified Media also recently achieved success at the Red Sea Souk market for their project ‘Fantastic Tale.’ These achievements further highlight the company’s dedication to delivering exceptional and captivating storytelling,” the statement added.
