Nigerian singer Bella Shmurda recently participated in a documentary by WeTalk Sound. In the documentary, Shmurda spoke candidly about how fatherhood has significantly impacted his life and music career.
He revealed that the birth of his son has motivated him to become a better person and pursue personal growth. Additionally, Shmurda shared his aspirations to build a lasting legacy—one that would make his child proud to have him as a father.
“I think fatherhood inspired me. What’s in my head is ‘Wetin’ this boy go see in the next 10 years?’ I don’t want him to see my old videos, I want him to see the new Bella who is still doing things. I don’t want him to hear ‘history’ like his daddy used to sing. I want to be the type of father that when he turns on the TV, he’d see and then say ‘That’s my daddy’, that’s what I want to be to my child. He’s an inspiration to me,” he said.
In July 2023, Bella Shmurda shared the joyful news of his son’s arrival on his official social media platform. The post, which included a heartfelt message and a photo of his newborn baby, was met with an outpouring of love and congratulations from fans, followers, and fellow celebrities.
However, the announcement also revealed a painful experience Shmurda had endured in 2022. He shared that he had suffered the heartbreaking loss of a child, expressing the emotional toll it had taken on him.
He wrote,
“A few days to the drop of my album last year, I was an emotional and mental wreck. I’d just gotten to the UK where I was scheduled to do some promotional activities when I heard the news that I’d lost the child I was expecting at birth. I got the news that my little boy is here. I’m happy and blessed. What’s lost can never be replaced, but I have another chance, a new lease on life. A new purpose. I’m a new Daddy; DO NOT DISTURB.”
In November 2023, Bella Shmurda was eager to share more about his growing family. He took to his social media platform to post new pictures of his son. Two of the heartwarming photos showcased the adorable child, giving fans a glimpse into Shmurda’s life as a father.
This update followed the initial announcement of his son’s birth in July, which was accompanied by a heartfelt message and well-wishes from many.
