Nigerian music duo Ajebo Hustlers are making waves with their latest song, “Celine Dion.” This catchy Afropop track showcases their signature blend of Southern Nigerian influence and Afrobeats’ energy.
Joining forces with producer OdumoduBlvck, “Celine Dion” hits all the right notes: top-notch production, clever lyrics, and playful use of pidgin English. The song cleverly uses legendary singer Celine Dion’s name as a metaphor for the ideal woman, celebrating her beauty and charm.
Ajebo Hustlers explains their inspiration, stating,
“We actually wanted a song that had direction to the celebrating the African woman, creating a good feel song for the ladies, just like a gangster being in love. So, we got into the studio with Wondah, a producer we have previously worked with, and gave him the idea we had, he created the beat and we created the melodies and verses to it.”
“Celine Dion” is the lead single from their upcoming album “Bad Boy Etiquette 102,” due out in 2024. It’s sure to capture the attention of fans and newcomers alike, further solidifying Ajebo Hustlers’ position as one of Nigeria’s most exciting talents.
During the recording, particularly in the hook featuring the lyrics “She gives me groundnut and Kolanut,” the duo highlights the cultural importance in an African context. These actions represent a deep commitment and sincere intentions when a man is looking for a life partner.
As a sneak peek for their upcoming album “Bad Boy Etiquette 102,” scheduled for release in 2024, “Celine Dion” is the main single designed to grab the audience’s interest.
