In an Instagram post, Adetiba announced the title as KOB 3: The Beginning of the End, sharing that the upcoming film will introduce new characters alongside the return of a few familiar faces. The casting for the movie has already begun.
Regarding what audiences can anticipate this time, the filmmaker hinted that KOB 3 will be unlike anything one might expect or imagine.
“The new KOB submission is ELEVATED in every way you could imagine… And I’m honoured to be able to come back to tell this story,” she stated.
Power, politics, and dance with darkness—”King of Boys 3″ in a nutshell. This Nigerian crime thriller isn’t just about who grabs the crown; it’s a twisted tale of ambition that burrows deep into the soul of Alhaja Eniola Salami, played with captivating intensity by veteran actress Sola Sobowale.

In 2018, the original film unleashed Eniola’s story, weaving together her shadowy past with the ruthless present. It quickly snagged the hearts (and box office records) of Nigerians, becoming the 13th highest-grossing film in the country’s history. The hunger for more wasn’t satiated, though.
Three years later, Netflix answered the call with King of Boys: The Return of the King, a seven-part series that followed Eniola’s elation to legitimate political power after five years spent in exile. But even with the plush seats of parliament beckoning, the ghosts of her past refused to stay buried.
The series boasted a cast as diverse as the characters themselves. From established stars like Toni Tones, Reminisce, and Adesua Etomi to seasoned performers like Richard Mofe-Damijo and Jide Kosoko, each brought their energy to the political battlefield.
But the story isn’t over yet. Whispers of a third chapter in Eniola’s saga are already swirling, and with them, the question of who will join the dance on the edge of power. Will familiar faces return, or will new players emerge to challenge the queen on her throne?
One thing’s for sure: the return of King of Boys promises more electrifying performances, intricate power struggles, and maybe, just maybe, a glimpse of redemption for the woman who danced with darkness and lived to tell the tale.
So, mark your calendars, cinephiles, because in the kingdom of the “King of Boys,” the fight for the crown is never truly over.
