Mitchel has been posting updates about her first few days in El Salvador regularly, providing details about her pageant registration and preparations. The Nigerian beauty queen was recently spotted on Instagram posing with Miss Universe South Africa, Bryoni Natalie Govender, and Miss Universe Namibia, Jameela Uiras.

Mitchel’s ascent to this global platform commenced upon her triumph as the 2017 Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria (MBGN). In addition to her accomplishments in the realm of beauty pageants, Mitchel is a gifted visual artist and a committed supporter of women’s rights. At the Miss World beauty pageant that same year, she made history by representing Nigeria and earning a spot in the Top 40 along with the esteemed title of Miss World Top Model 2017.

Mitchel, an Imo State native, defeated 37 other contestants to become the 2023 Miss Universe Nigeria winner. Mitchel will be up against over 80 competitors from across the globe while in El Salvador. As part of the pageant, she is scheduled to take part in some events, photo shoots, and interviews.


Mitchel’s platform has a well-defined goal: to tackle important social issues and promote constructive change. To eliminate financial illiteracy among women, she is committed to being a “Voice for Change” and focuses specifically on advancing financial literacy among women.
