Not content to stop at just one record being broken, Fisher also set two new ones at the same time. Not only did he beat Baci’s record, but he also set new records for the longest individual baking marathon and the longest cooking marathon. Thanks to Fisher’s amazing performance, the longest baking marathon record—which Wendy Sandner had previously held at 31 hours and 16 minutes—now stands at 47 hours and 21 minutes.
It’s interesting to note that Fisher’s accomplishments occurred only six months after Hilda Baci attempted to break the record, which led many Nigerians to wonder how long it takes to break a record. In response, the Guinness World Record emphasised that records can be broken at any time and clarified that there is no time limit for doing so. This highlights the extraordinary adaptability and potential of individuals to continuously push the boundaries of human achievement.
