Giannis Antetokounmpo, the Greek basketball player of Nigerian descent, is leading the Milwaukee Bucks to their fifth consecutive win.
The 28-year-old NBA superstar is once again gaining attention on social media for his outstanding performance in the league.
On Tuesday, November 21, Antetokounmpo showcased his scoring prowess by netting 42 points on an impressive 20 of 23 shots, leading the Milwaukee Bucks to a 142-129 victory over the Washington Wizards and securing their fifth consecutive win.
Despite a commendable effort from the Washington Wizards, who fought valiantly and managed to take a one-point lead with 10:02 remaining in the fourth quarter courtesy of Corey Kispert’s layup, Antetokounmpo responded with a scoring burst. This sparked a 15-3 surge for the Milwaukee Bucks, ultimately sealing their triumph.
Antetokounmpo’s shooting accuracy has been remarkable, boasting the highest percentage among players with at least 20 field goal attempts (87.0%) since Mike Woodson of the Kansas City Kings.
Despite facing challenges at the free-throw line, where he made only two of his six attempts, Antetokounmpo’s dominance in controlling the rim proved insurmountable for the Wizards.
