“Merry Men 3” once again dominated the Nigerian box office over the weekend, grossing ₦19.4 million from October 20-22, 2023, according to the Cinema Exhibitors Association of Nigeria.
Since its debut on October 13, 2023, the film has earned a total of ₦50,193,256, solidifying its position as the most-watched Nollywood movie in cinemas.

In this instalment of the “Merry Men” franchise, the story revolves around revenge, as Dafe, portrayed by Chidi Mokeme, seeks retribution after being abandoned in Russia during an old mission. He also targets corrupt politicians, believing the group has failed in delivering proper justice.

“Sandra Okunzuwa‘s “Something Like Gold” earned ₦5.4 million during the weekend, placing it fourth on the chart. Directed by Kayode Kasum, the film has accumulated a total gross of ₦50,022,850 during its one-month run.

Following in seventh place is “A Weekend To Forget“, with ₦2.4 million and a cumulative total of ₦46,441,975. “The Scar” occupies the 11th position, bringing in ₦350,600, with a total gross of ₦2,989,575.
Other films currently in cinemas include “Kesari“, which earned ₦304,000, amassing a total of ₦77.7 million in its ninth week of screening, and “Orisa,” at its 14th week in cinemas, with earnings of ₦146,000 and a total gross of ₦127,752,950.
