Meek Mill, the American rapper, has added his name to the growing list of celebrities honouring the late Nigerian Street Hop sensation, who sadly passed away at the young age of 27.

American rapper Meek Mill, alongside fellow US Hip Hop artists, Kodak Black and Lil Durk, paid tribute to the late Nigerian musician.
Then, on September 20, 2023, Meek Mill shared his sentiments. He quoted Lil Durk’s tweet honouring Mohbad and mentioned that he had seen TikTok clips about the late artist. Meek Mill also expressed his admiration for the overwhelming display of love from the public following Mohbad’s passing.
Meek Mill, whose real name is Robert Rihmeek Williams, is an American rapper born on May 6, 1987. He comes from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and began his music career as a battle rapper. He also had a brief stint with a rap group called “The Bloodhoundz”.
He caught the attention of Atlanta-based rapper T.I. in 2008, who signed him to his first record deal. He left later and joined some other record labels and continued to grow his career from there.
The passing of Mohbad has sparked significant public response, with allegations of foul play being raised by certain individuals, including Sammy Larry and Marlian Music label boss, Naira Marley, it also caught the attention of Meek Mill who reached out with his feelings via his post.
The Nigerian Police have initiated investigations into Mohbad’s demise, and protests demanding justice for Mohbad, represented by the hashtag #JusticeforMohbad, have spread to numerous states, including Ogun, Oyo, Ekiti, Kogi, and Lagos.
