CSR-in-Action hosted critical stakeholders including: Dr Ibe Kachikwu, Minister of State for Petroleum Resources; Dr Kayode Fayemi, Minister of State for Mines & Steel Development, and more than five hundred delegates involving government representatives, private organisations, Civil Society Organisations, academia, media, captains of industry and investors at the 6th Sustainability in the Extractive Industries (SITEI) Conference: Building Local for Global held on 19 – 20 July, 2017; over a 2-day period. The Conference held at the Nicon Luxury Hotel, Abuja, in partnership with NEITI, NNPC, FMPR, FMMSD, MAN and Zenera Consulting.

There were exhibitions from a wide range of entities, including Aiteo, NNPC, Seplat, NEITI, PTI, Nigerian Nuclear Regulatory Authority (NNRA), Miners Association of Nigeria (MAN) and others, strong participation from key institutions such as Raw Materials Research and Development Council, National Open University, Nigerian LNG, Pan Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF), Petroleum Equalisation Fund (PEF) and well-versed delegates, together with more than thirty speakers. SITEI 2017 also saw the institution of a dedicated steering committee of industry leaders who would serve for 2 years.
