Davido/Ice Prince Fight: ‘Davido Was Upset That Ice Prince Was Being Disrespectful To Me’ – Shina Peller Reveals

Published

on

Over the weekend, social media went buzzing with news of a reported beef between Davido and Ice Prince at the Delta Alive concert organised by Quilox boss, Shina Peller.

At the time, the fight was said to have started over the type of cars used to pick both stars from the airport.

Also, Ice Prince was announced to perform before Lil Kesh, a move that angered him even more.

Now, the Delta Live organiser, Shina Peller, has come out to clarify what really went down.

‘Okay here’s what really happened, my arrangement for the concert was to have a tour bus, so there was no time when anyone had a saloon car.

‘It was a tour bus which everybody was in including myself, my artistes, Lil Kesh, CDQ and everyone just so we are all together to have fun but along the line I found out that Davido had some friends in Warri.

‘Davido was in the same bus with us from the airport to the hotel, he used the same bus from the hotel to Quest FM where we went for an interview before the show.
‘It was at Quest FM his friends came to pick him with a white G-Wagon, I don’t even know the owner of the G-Wagon. So he was in his friend’s G-Wagon from the radio station to the event venue so it wasn’t an issue at all.’

The Club Quilox boss also commented on the issue of the two artistes having to be ushered into different parts of the airport to prevent any further altercation.

‘When we were coming back to Lagos, it was Ice Prince that got to be at the VIP lounge. Myself, Davido, Lil Kesh and others where outside in a shed with just a standing fan.

‘Really it’s all one family everything is resolved now. The only thing that got Davido upset is the fact that he felt Ice Prince was being disrespectful to me not even to him because even Davido didn’t complain about any of the logistics issue it was Ice Prince that complained a little that’s all.’

Our Parent’s Generation Didn’t Support Their Children’s Talents – Phyno

Phyno Says His Parents Didn't Support His Career | fab.ng

Nigerian rapper Phyno praised today’s parents for showing greater support for their children’s talents than the previous generation did.

During his interview on the In My Opinion Podcast, the renowned musician shared his personal experience. He revealed that his parents initially discouraged his musical ambitions.

Phyno explained that the current generation of parents is more understanding and open-minded about their children’s aspirations. This creates a more supportive environment for young talent to flourish.

“My parents didn’t support my career when I first started. It’s different now,” he said.

He added, “I think the generation after my parents understands what it means to support their children’s talent and knows that there is something special about a child who loves music, or a child who loves to play ball.”

The rapper compared the two generations. He emphasized how children in the past were often disciplined for pursuing their artistic dreams.

“Then, when parents come home and see you playing ball, they beat you and seize the ball and give you punishment. You understand me?” he said.

Phyno applauded today’s parents for identifying and fostering their children’s talents, be it in music, sports, or other fields.

“I’m just trying to say that era and this era are different. Now any father who sees his son can play ball and enrols him in an academy. Some, at 1 year old already buy you a ball and say you must play ball like Neymar,” he explained.

Phyno also acknowledged the shift in perception surrounding creative careers, saying,

“Different generations, you know and I also don’t blame my parents. I’m sure that the money in music now was never in music then. They also look at people who did music back then as useless people. As people who just wanted to carry dreadlocks and walk around. But now everyone sees the talent and a gift to be shared to the world, and shout-out to this era of parents.”
