Soul Singer, India Arie Performs “Brown Skin” With Nikki Laoye.

Last Night, Nigeria hosted popular American Soul Singer, India Arie at the Sax Appeal 5 concert, organised by Mike Aremu at the Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria.

Her performance set was all shades of fun and thrills as she sang her many hits back to back to the excitement of the audience at the event.

Nikki Laoye Performing Brown Skin

An Unforgettable moment occured when India Arie called up one of Nigeria’s finest voices, Nikki Laoye to join her on stage and perform her hit song, Brown Skin, alongside her at the Sax Appeal 5 Concert by Mike Aremu in Lagos Nigeria.

The crowd went wild as Nikki Laoye took it up a notch, belting out the hit tune with such amazing vocal delivery, that left India Arie speechless and smiling from ear to ear.

She hugged and praised the singer afterwards. What an exciting moment indeed!!!

India Arie happens to be one of Nikki Laoye’s music mentors..certainly a priceless moment for the Nigerian Soul Singer. See video below:

Nollywood actress Uzoamaka Onuoha won the Best Female Performance in a Feature award at the recently concluded African Film Festival on November 9, 2024.

This victory adds another accolade to her growing list of achievements, solidifying her status as one of Nollywood’s rising stars.

With over three nominations under her belt this year, Uzoamaka Onuoha truly stood out for her remarkable portrayal in “Agemo”.

Directed by Moshood Abiola Obatula, the film takes viewers on a thrilling journey. It follows the character Agatha navigating a dangerous and enigmatic world.

By highlighting the challenges faced by women, Agemo delves deep into the complexities of power dynamics, manipulation, and the severe consequences of exploiting the vulnerable.

Playing the lead role, Onuoha delivers a powerful performance that captures the character’s resilience and depth. This recognition comes as no surprise given her impressive track record.

This includes standout roles in Inside Life (2022), If I Am President (2018), and Blood Sisters (2022). With each project, she continues to showcase her versatility and dedication to her craft.

Although Agemo initially released its first-look images in December 2023, the full film is set to premiere to the public later this year.

Written by Esther Olayinka, the supernatural feature boasts a stellar ensemble cast. The cast includes Raphael Ayara, Joe Kosoko, Yinka Quadri, Mojisola Afolayan, Kola Olaiya, Lawal Aramide Pabira, and Darasimi Madi.

Together, they bring to life a story that explores complex themes and leaves a lasting impact on viewers.
