Get ready for “Japa!“—the highly anticipated Nigerian film is finally getting a release date. The movie is a collaboration between Inkblot Productions and 1POD Pictures. It will be available to stream exclusively on Amazon Prime Video starting March 8th, 2024.
Expect a front-row seat to a dramatic and hilarious story about ambition and pursuing a better life. The movie is all set against the backdrop of Lagos, Nigeria. Filmed with stunning cinematography, the movie promises to captivate audiences worldwide as it premieres on Amazon Prime in over 240 countries.

Written and directed by Isioma Osaje, with contributions from Chinaza Onuzo and Tamara Aihie, “Japa!” seamlessly blends heart-pounding suspense with engaging storytelling. The film boasts a star-studded cast featuring some of Nigeria’s most renowned actors. They include Adesua Etomi-Wellington, Jidekene Achufusi, Blossom Chukwujekwu, Seun Ajayi, Mofe Duncan, Layi Wasabi, The Igbo Wolf, and many more.
Isioma Osaje excitedly announced her directorial debut on X, saying,

Chinaza Onuzo, the co-founder of Inkblot Productions, expressed a sense of fulfilment about the journey of “Japa!” The film started as a simple idea and has now become a reality, launching globally on Amazon Prime Video. She emphasised that this achievement aligns with Inkblot’s mission to share authentic African stories with the world.

Inkblot is a leading production company in Africa. In 2023, it had the most movies streamed on Prime Video.
