Omowunmi Dada, a Nigerian actress, revealed in a recent interview with Shock Ng during the watch party of her latest movie “L.I.F.E.” that if she weren’t in the entertainment industry, she would have chosen to become a lawyer instead. She expressed her enduring passion for law and emphasised that acting was an unexpected path for her, but one that she’s deeply committed to.
“If I wasn’t an actor I would definitely be a lawyer. Well because I’ve always loved fighting for human rights, I have always loved the law. I have always loved standing up for people and I am always a huge advocate of doing things right,” she said.

The movie “L.I.F.E.” stars Omowunmi Dada and Efe Irele as two women who desire a change in their lives until they learn to appreciate their current situations.
It is currently available for streaming on Prime Video and has received praise from critics, winning awards such as Best Nigerian Film at the 2023 AMAA Awards and Best Soundtrack at the 2023 Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards.
Additionally, it was chosen as an official selection for the 2023 Zanzibar International Film Festival.
Directed by Uyoyou Adia, the film also features actors such as Olarotimi Fakunle, Eso Dike, Mr. Macaroni, Tope Olowoniyan, Jay Paul, Kate Adepegba, Mena Sodje, and Fehintola Olalekan.

In addition to “L.I.F.E,” Dada plays the lead role in the romantic comedy “Meeting Funmi’s Parents,” which is currently among the top three most-watched Nigerian movies in cinemas.
Directed and written by Kevin Apaa, the story revolves around Funmi, portrayed by Dada, who returns home from the US with her fiancé (played by Romon Thomson) to visit her parents in Nigeria. However, Funmi’s father disapproves of their relationship and plans to intervene.
