Seun Kuti, the Nigerian musician and the son of the legendary Afrobeats figure, Fela Anikulapo Kuti, recently made an appearance on the runway at the ongoing Casablanca “Day of Victory” fashion show.
His runway appearance took place on the 7th day of Paris Fashion Week, where he confidently showcased an outfit known as “Stuntman on Set”. This outfit is a white and green bodysuit with a flag-inspired design characterized by blue and green stripes. Seun Kuti was the featured model for the contemporary French brand Casablanca as they presented their “Day of Victory” collection for the Printemps-Été 2024 season.
Seun Kuti is not the only Nigerian celebrity to have graced the prestigious runways. In 2018, Wizkid made a striking appearance at the Dolce & Gabbana show during Milan Men’s Fashion Week. He confidently strutted down the runway adorned in a meticulously crafted ensemble adorned with gold appliqués and embellishments and decorated by a balaclava.

Another celebrity, David Adeleke, widely known as Davido, ascended to prominence as a Puma ambassador and brand representative in 2021. His affiliation with Puma led him to participate in the sportswear company’s “Futrograde” show during New York Fashion Week. This marked a significant return for Puma to the event, ending a five-year break.
Following his formal association announcement with Puma, Davido gained global recognition for the brand. During his runway appearance, he wore a coordinated tracksuit ensemble, maroon PUMA hand gloves, a black fur bucket hat, and added flair with chunky chains and a pair of Richard Mille watches.
