Liverpool Plans Swoop For Barcelona Star Gavi

The Barcelona midfielder known as Pablo Martin Paez Gavira, is on his way to being swooped by Liverpool for the summer. Gavi has now established himself as a pivotal member of Xavi Hernandez’s starting eleven season. He used to be in the Catalan club academy from where he made his first debut a couple of seasons ago.

Gavi’s contract with Barcelona is due for expiration at the end of this season, which is by June 2026. But LaLiga haven’t approved the new deal owing to financial fair play regulations, and because of this, they are about to lose their football star.

According to reports by The Times, Liverpool has eyes on Gavi and they are ready to grab the opportunity to have him if he becomes available by the end of the season. However, is is not only Liverpool, but also the Merseyside club are set to face the challenge with the Premier League rivals, Manchester City in getting any deal done for Gavi.

Sofyan Amrabat, the midfielder for Fiorentina and the Moroccan national team, received significant interest from Manchester United, Barcelona, and Chelsea during the January transfer window, according to his brother Nordin.

The 26-year-old caught the attention of these top European clubs after his impressive performances for Morocco during the 2022 World Cup, where they became the first African team to reach the semi-finals. However, despite the offers made by these clubs, Fiorentina refused to let Amrabat leave.

Nordin Amrabat revealed that Manchester United arrived with an offer in the final two days of the transfer window, but it was a loan with an option to buy, which Fiorentina declined. Barcelona was also interested in the midfielder, but their financial problems prevented them from making an obligation to buy. The third club interested in Amrabat was Chelsea. Although Barcelona was prepared to pay a significant amount for the midfielder, Fiorentina was not willing to let go of one of their most important players.
